>Jackson: ?AEIRTZ 7K REZ +33 129
#note tough position! I generally want a more tactical and closed board against Bryn, so didn't like throwing LATERIZE open. I liked keeping the blank on this closed board, and he was also shuffling in a way that made me think he had a bingo prone rack, so I didn't like laterize. Definitely might be an overreaction to getting triple tripled on earlier, but I liked what REZ did to the baord
>Bryn_Bowen: ?AACEGT 6I AGA +11 122
#note we talked about this position a lot after the game - AGE seems like a small improvement to keep the A for 5 row overlaps, and the A also works well given the 13 and 9 rows that already have an E. My style is usually to play something like TAG 12J - keep things closed with the blank because there is no need for aggression. AGE/AGA give back big scores and don't bingo a ton, whereas TAG lowers my average score, and also keeps a C for 6J plays like CAR and CAD, which are great cause they don't give much back.
The difference in bingo% is also not huge between tag and aga (age bingoes about 6% more than aga, which bingoes about 10% more than tag), but the difference is likely smaller in reality since I may play a bit more defensively than usual given AGA. TAG lowers my average by about 6
>Jackson: ?AILOTT 13H .TIOLATe +66 195
>Bryn_Bowen: ?CEGIST 5K CIG +24 146
#note cagiest plays, but CIG is cool to set up a big ST lane
>Jackson: AIIOOPR 15B POORI +19 214
#note omg ARIOSI!!!!!! so good

I should totally see that, even if I don't play it. I think I would still play it given the 5 and 4 rows available - hyper defense has less value, and he can get back in the game on the O column anyways.
>Bryn_Bowen: ?EEOSTU B8 OUTSlEE. +72 218
#note SETUlO(S)E is a beauty
>Jackson: AAEINNR A7 AN +12 226
#note ANNA looks a bit better - overestimated AEINR here cause of the consonant heavy pool - there are a lot of heavy consonants though, and not enough CDGLRST type tiles, so I only bingo a third of the time.
>Bryn_Bowen: AIKM 4L KAMI +37 255
>Jackson: AEILNOR C3 AILERON +74 300
>Bryn_Bowen: DEHOTUV O3 H.DEOUT +33 288
#note with 18 consonants and 9 vowels and 2 Ys, might be a good idea to do something like V(E)TO or 3M HUT to keep more vowels
>Jackson: AADEFIU O12 F.UD +33 333
#note amazing draw! I now am lord of the vowels and commandor of the game

I wanted to take out o12 because the E works well with consonants heavy racks, so FEUD over 3M FAH
>Bryn_Bowen: ERVV 13A V.RVE +22 310
>Jackson: AAAEILR 3M LA. +24 357
#note I think at this point I should block the 3 and 4 row - I am in a really good position to outrun, and that is a good scoring spot he can use to unload consonants. LAH also opens itself to plays like C(AM), which I considered as a threat, though the pool isn't good for hitting bingoes there, if he can fish 3 times for them, it's more of a threat.

I thik something like B3 ALA should get the job done
>Bryn_Bowen: NNNY 4B N.NNY +16 326
>Jackson: AAEFIRT 3F AFTER +18 375
#note I think I gotta block bingoes here, can't outrun most bingoes cause he'll get another play with 1 tile

AFTER just leaves HYOSCINE, POSTICHE, and CYTOSINE. lots of bingoes on the 2 row and some on the E column that this blocks.
