#player2 Matthew_Bernardina Matthew Bernardina
>Ryan_Fischer: AIILNRT -I +0 0
#note Matt opened our last game with exchange 1, so I thought I'd do the same. :) It's not as appropriate in this situation. LI for 4 is fine. This only bingos 62%. LI bingos 70%. xIL, oddly, bingos 74%. I guess anything my opponent plays will give me 8s, whereas if I play, 8s are less likely after my opponent's response. Good to know. This is a reason to NOT take the star for a low score.
>Matthew_Bernardina: ?CEGHNP 8D PECHiNG +84 84
#note And if I open, this bingo won't hurt me nearly as hard. Can't know that, though.
>Ryan_Fischer: ADILNRT J1 DARTLIN. +64 64
>Matthew_Bernardina: AEOORT 1I O.ORATE +27 111
>Ryan_Fischer: EEIOOTY D8 .IOYE +20 84
#note Champ comes up with (P)TOOEY before (P)IOYE. I wasn't crazy about much of anything. COYOTE was my other thought, but it has problems, too. Nothing is great.
>Matthew_Bernardina: EPR E10 PER +26 137
#note That could've been worse, but he blocked my bingo.
>Ryan_Fischer: EEOORST C10 OO +13 97
#note Best static. Relief.
>Matthew_Bernardina: DEELRY 5E ELDER.Y +44 181
#note Nice play.
>Ryan_Fischer: AEEERST 3H AR.ESTEE +68 165
#note Studying has paid off. I'd probably have missed this in years past. The only bingo!
>Matthew_Bernardina: AIINSTU G8 .UITAINS +63 244
#note Just when I've clawed my way back!
>Ryan_Fischer: ?BDGIOZ 15G .OZ +36 201
#note And I bemoaned my luck in not being able to hit the spot harder. Matt suggested ZOIST or ZOISM, but I didn't like it for spending my vowel and blank for only 33 more points. This is best.
>Matthew_Bernardina: AFX H10 FAX +45 289
#note I joked, "see, now that's a post bingo draw!" And Matt was all like, "you didn't see my leave." Touche.
>Ryan_Fischer: ?BDDGII B4 BIDDInG +80 281
#note Got bailed out, myself, and am now back in it.
>Matthew_Bernardina: ELW 2M LEW +27 316
#note Well, that closes things up nicely.
>Ryan_Fischer: EKQTUVV 8A Q. +33 314
#note Yuck, yuck, yuck. Champ says VET, keeping KQUV, which might not be that bad, or exchanging QTUVV. Dumping the Q is 4th. Hard to pass up 31 points, even if the leave is atrocious. Should have probably taken care of one of the Vs first. It actually has the added bonus of trying to draw an I for QI for 71. I don't know why I didn't think of that, because in a later game I'd do just that kind of thing.
>Matthew_Bernardina: ABGNU A1 UNBAG +35 351
#note Ow.
>Ryan_Fischer: AEKTUVV C3 VAT +21 335
#note Champ says UVAE C2 23. I guess. Need to get lucky to pull some more vowels if I do that, though. Win % is grim from here.
>Matthew_Bernardina: EIMN 4E MEIN +20 371
>Ryan_Fischer: EFKOSUV 6F FES +36 371
#note Wow, I missed UKES for 48. I didn't remember MEU. Let's face it, I didn't know it. Heh. Still some CSW 3s I totally whiffed on. I was considering playing KEFS here, but doubted MEE, too! I doubted FUSK down below too. I thought it was just FISK! Bad play all around, but at least it stopped him from playing 2F JIN. Not that I knew NANE# or that NANES* is bogus. :] I shouldn't have spent my S either. Not for that score. But you live you learn.
>Matthew_Bernardina: IJN I13 JI. +27 398
>Ryan_Fischer: AKMOUVW 2F KOW +28 399
#note Should've known VOW > KOW here. K is valuable in this situation. The BEST play looks to be OVUM according to champ, but I don't see the value in emptying the bag, other than getting rid of this U.
>Matthew_Bernardina: CHINS 13B HISN +41 439
#note I challenged PERN because he blocked AUTUM(N) for 28 and the win.
>Ryan_Fischer: AAMTUUV 14A VAT +24 423
#note Champ chooses B1 MU 16.
>Matthew_Bernardina: CLOR 11G ..ROC +14 453
>Ryan_Fischer: AMUU 15C AMU +11 434
#note Still missing MU. Oops.
>Matthew_Bernardina: L K1 .L. +5 458
>Matthew_Bernardina: (U) +2 460
