#note the best move here is very obvious in Collins -- 7H KO. but in a way, doesn't this cheapen it? i spent about 4 minutes on this move trying to find something decent, and finally settled on this. Quackle prefers 9F NORI. -1

>cesar: AEJNPRS 5D JAPE +32 62
#note gotta bingo ASAP, and i should play L3 JAP(E) i suppose. i thought it was ok to score 6 more points AND not give up an easy overlap. quackle disagrees, although it likes 11C JAPE a lot too. better for bingoing through i guess. -2

>cesar: EEIINRV 14B VEINIER +76 212
#note it took me WAY too long to see this. it was bizarre. once i saw the word, i spent about a minute breathing so i could calm down, before i played it. i really put way too much pressure on myself, and i'm now actively working on that...
>dan_w: FHIT O11 FI.TH +36 226
>cesar: DDEEIPT 15H EDITED +36 248
#note breathing/calming myself down didn't work. i was unable to anagram DEIPT, and i didn't think of TIDED until i hit the clock. this is a significant mistake. the bag is very consonant heavy, so my E is precious. TEPID is far better. i need to relax and take my time. -9.5
>dan_w: GIO D3 GO.I +24 250
>cesar: DLNPQSZ C13 Z.P +28 276
#note this is much better than exchanging because it blocks two bingo lanes simultaneously. (and it also helps that it scores)
>dan_w: ?AGITVY 8K G.AVY +36 286
#note dan told me after the game that i may not have meant to block both bingo lanes but that he had a huge GrAVITY here. of course i meant to block both lanes! :)
>cesar: ABDLNQS 10J QA.D +34 310
#note 12D BLAND looks ok, actually. i may be able to score with the Q later! also the bag is consonant heavy enough that playing QAIDS is actually a little better than my play! -0.5
>dan_w: AT N12 T.A +12 298
>cesar: BILLNRS 12D BRILL +21 331
#note would really like to block up top, but lane 11 is still possible.
>dan_w: FIR 11I FIR. +29 327
>cesar: ENOOSSU 4J OUN.ES +18 349
#note i considered just OUN(C)E because i have both Ss. but i eventually decided on ounces, because if he hits the triple he will have to empty the bag, and then i'll hopefully be able to block whatever bingo he has. also OS is a bit better for bingoing back in case he bingoes. quackle seems to prefer OUNCE, though, by about 2 pts. maybe my logic was wrong.
