#player1 Conrad Conrad
#player2 Chris Chris
>Conrad: DGU 8G DUG +10 10
#note This game had a lot of interesting strategic decisions.
>Chris: ADHNRY 7C HYDRA +21 21
>Conrad: ADGU D3 GAUD. +20 30
>Chris: ABNNOTY 6G BONY +23 44
>Conrad: ?AINOSS E4 ANO.ISeS +91 121
>Chris: ACIINOT D11 IONIC +22 66
#note It's probably better to play this at 5H, especially since this takes an -S hook (a fact which I had forgotten).
>Conrad: CEGL C11 CLEG +28 149
>Chris: AFINORT F9 OFT +34 100
>Conrad: EIKM 5H MIKE +35 184
>Chris: AAFINRT C3 AFT +27 127
#note I saw 15D (C)AFTAN, but preferred to keep row 15 alive as a bingo lane.
>Conrad: AIJ 8A JAI +35 219
>Chris: AEINNRS 15D .RANNIES +80 207
#note This sets up dangerous spots at F14 and J14, but I'm okay with it since I'm behind on tempo and willl need more scoring opportunities to gain the lead.
>Conrad: AQT B1 QAT +28 247
>Chris: IIRTTWX 14I TWIT +32 239
#note 14I TWIXT wins the sim, but I wanted to hold onto the X for a bigger play later. I also liked how this makes it difficult for Conrad to block the big Z spot at 14F without sacrificing a lot of points. Tilt-ish plays are good for me since I'm currently behind. This sets up a big -E hook, but TWIXT would allow Conrad to block with A(TWIXT).
>Conrad: EEV 13K VEE +20 267
>Chris: EEHIORX 12L HERO +30 269
#note Turnover is increasingly important in the race to draw that all-important Z.
>Conrad: AAEU 1A A.UAE +45 312
#note Conrad said this left him with a bingo-ish leave (ERS, I think), but he started drawing a lot of drek after this.
>Chris: EIMOOOX O11 M.XIE +42 311
#note Drawing the last of the O's is great for me because it means Conrad won't be able to use them to score 60 points with the Z at 14F.
>Conrad: BERSV L1 VERBS +39 351
>Chris: EOOOPRZ 14F ZO +64 375
#note The Z arrives and at last I'm in the lead with almost 50% winning chances! (No S available for ZOOSPORE.)
>Conrad: LP B8 .LP +11 362
>Chris: EIOOPRW 2J WO. +14 389
#note The question is whether I should try to maximize my own bingo chances or play defense. I opted for the latter because I figured that Conrad's bingo chances were highest in the top right quadrant while mine were better in the lower right. It's close, but Quackle agrees, putting my winning chances at just shy of 60%.
>Conrad: E J5 ..E +10 372
>Chris: ?EILOPR 9H POLItER +68 457
#note Luckily for me, the blank was still in the bag.
>Chris: (DELNRTU) +16 473
#note 5-5 -220
