#note how to blow a game, lesson 3

XI is pretty gross, the board is gonna be more of an overlappy/scory board, and EEEIS will be unhelpful
>cesar: ADDFNOR 8D FROND +26 26
#note great play to bait the hook
>jackson_s: ?EELSUV H1 rEVULSE. +86 86

#note good choice to not play CADAST(R)E in order to prevent HEKTAR(E)S
>jackson_s: ACEILNT E5 CLA.INET +90 176
>cesar: FGOORRR 2D ROOF.R +24 133
>jackson_s: AEENOOP D10 OPE +20 196
#note felt good to not open up lots of bingoes with EUPNOEA, OPE keeps it tighter. Still an open-ish board cause of the hook though, so OPE's defense is unideal. Plays like EUPNOEA require less technique since OPE needs a lot more follow through to keep the defense up, whereas EUPNOEA just runs

>jackson_s: AADENOR 4A ODEA +25 221
#note ODEA, ANOA, AA... ADORE... ODA... Lots to consider. I didn't see AA but I considered the other plays. ADORE is annoying cause the hooks can't be blocked without hitting them, and there are 5 hooks in the pool. ANOA felt like a better valuated play than ODEA, but DER is more of a preference when I'm down and need to bingo, whereas the A in ANR can help me score. I also liked swining the O in the triple and not the A. Q likes ANOA more, saying I average 4 more! Definitely an oversight, DER is the better leave more decisively than I thought.
>cesar: AAGORTW C10 WART +28 200
#note this isn't that great. the best among some bad choices is probably C10 WAG. just hate doing that.. but AORT seems to bingo a lot more than GOA, despite the G's superiority as a tile. -4.5
>jackson_s: AEKNRSU A3 K.RUNA +30 251
>cesar: AEGOUYY 14A YAY +29 229
#note some terrible choices here. i don't know how to evaluate what's least terrible. i suppose GUY keeping AEOY is a lot less volatile and higher scoring next turn than YAY keeping EGOU, at least according to the details. should really try to not keep Us if i can avoid it. -4.5

#note exchange time
>jackson_s: EIILSTT I8 ELITIST +69 347
>jackson_s: EIILSTT -- -69 278
#note SO BAD!!!! (S)ILTIEST is 62 and does not make a godawful phony that Cesar must have been setting up for me from the getgo. For the 6th time in a row, outclassed by the zar
>cesar: AEILNNZ 6H .EZ +32 261
#note block the bingo
>jackson_s: EIILSTT J6 .IT +12 290
#note now not in suck a great position, so I wanted to set up the I hook with ZIT, and it's really hard for him to block the board. I still have an S hook with CLARINETS. Maybe I'm in a good enough position to do TIZ?
>cesar: AILNNPU 9I PINNULA +76 337
#note lucky draw! however, i'm expecting him to 3-3 now...
>jackson_s: EIJLMST O8 J.M +36 326
#note C: lucky he didn't draw a bingo, but JAM is still a good play keeping EILST!
>cesar: EHIIQRU L4 REQUI. +32 369
#note this is super difficult. the play here, however, is easily 10M HIM. i should be able to come up with that. CLARINETS is still open, but still... -3
>jackson_s: EIILNST 6L .I +11 337
#note I hit the N column with 7/20 draws (IIIOOO?), and it's really nice to have this option open for later. I hit JAMS with 14/20 draws, and CLARINETS with 7/20. I hit unblockable bingoes with ?AEEIIIOOOS (or nearly unblockable)
>cesar: ?DEEHII 10M HI. +19 388
#note best way to block, and it's nice that i drew a blank, but i'm not close to out of the woods...
>jackson_s: BEILNST N9 ..B +5 342
#note It's unideal cause he will leaves fewer than 7 in the bag after his next play, meaning my bingo will empty the bag. I still might be able to outrun cause I'm only down 46 after LIB, and his scoring options aren't great. I didn't like JAMB because he has an E or S VERY often and he can really outscore me in that situation.

Any love for something like BLITES/QIS? If I was down another 10 points I think somethign like that would be merited since my bingoes wouldn't win enough, but I think here my bingoes will win just often enough even though I'll be emptying the bag.
>cesar: ?DEEIOW K9 .EW +12 400
#note a lot of plays just score as much as possible; i should probably do that, K2 OWED puts me up by 70. -5
>jackson_s: EILNOST N1 ONLIEST +82 424
#note Don't expect to be winning too often here, despite CP saying I have over 70% chance. He bingoes a fair amount or more likely can outscore me in the endgame. Drawing a blank would be cool
>cesar: ?BDEIOS G8 .OBoDIES +62 462
#note i had about two minutes, completely forgot about NEWB (i saw disobey right away, and then doobies was even better.. but i forgot NEW took a B!!) then once i saw this bingo that's enough. but that's why i didn't qualify on spread. -25
