>Noah_Walton: EGILRST 8D GRISTLE +70 70
#note Not sure about placement. Thought I might be able to bait Ken into playing GRISTLED*.
>Ken_Clark: ADQ F6 QA.D +34 34
>Noah_Walton: DIJOOOT J6 JO. +26 96
#note Didn't like my chances enough to play DOJO L8 though. OOTIDS G3 is another option here, I guess. But while it's best statically, it doesn't hold up on the sim against JOE, because of the resulting board.
>Ken_Clark: ?DIOOPS 10F SPOrOID +80 114
#note I held briefly.
>Noah_Walton: ADIOOTU K2 AUDIO +21 117
#note Decided against OOTIDS here because of the nice scoring spot it gives away. AUDIO also gives away nice spots, but I think they're a little more balanced. OUTDO, AGOUTI, and OUTDID are also possibilities here. They do well on the sim and could be worth playing over this. Not sure! After ~3000 iterations, the sim thinks OUTDO gives him a little less back than AUDIO does, while I score about 0.3 points more on my next turn with AI than with OT. I wonder if that has anything to do with Speedy being more aggressive because it has fewer good options? But that doesn't really make sense. Dunno, close play.
>Ken_Clark: ABDLL 2J B.LLAD +30 144
>Noah_Walton: CENORTW O2 .ECROWN +48 165
>Ken_Clark: AETZ 1G ZETA +43 187
>Noah_Walton: EHIITVW L6 WIVE. +29 194
#note I missed WIDTH here! This is probably better -- at least, it's winning after a couple thousand sim iterations.
>Ken_Clark: AEGHIO N6 HOAGIE +40 227
>Noah_Walton: EHINTTU O11 THINE +38 232
#note Happy I chickened out of UNTITHED*, which I think I may have played before. I could also play OUTHIT or THEIN. THEIN is beating THINE by about 0.7 after 2631 iterations of sim. It's probably more important for me to get big picture stuff right and use my gut on small things like THEIN vs. THINE without thinking too hard. I'll get some answers wrong this way, and that's OK. (I also have to remember that me getting a different answer from a sim does NOT me an getting the answers wrong.)
>Ken_Clark: CIKN M11 NICK +23 250
>Noah_Walton: AFIOTTU H10 .UTFIT +30 262
>Ken_Clark: ARX 2F RAX +32 282
>Noah_Walton: AAEGNOO 4G GOON.A +18 280
#note Also thought about OAKEN, and ANAGOGE, which looked gross to me. OAKEN probably keeps a bad leave for this board, compared to GOONDA. I don't think ANAGOGE makes sense. It's simming pretty well! But I'm not even convinced it's good against optimal play, and I think GOONDA makes the game much more difficult for Ken than ANAGOGE does, because he can't get as many easy good plays afterward.
>Ken_Clark: BEERV 3B BREVE +22 304
>Noah_Walton: AEENSUU 14J SUN.E. +24 304
#note Very interesting turn! I mainly considered USQUE, and EAU G13. I briefly considered exchanging and thought of a few other candidates.
>Ken_Clark: ?EFINRT 4C EF +22 326
#note Ken had dRIFTNET available here, and some other bingos.
>Noah_Walton: AAEELUY 3M AY. +21 325
#note I also considered EAU G3, as well as AE/AA at 2B. Maybe there's a better play than those? Once I thought about this, it seemed pretty strong. I can draw to a few bingos, score well, keep two in the bag which is good endgame timing, and keep plenty of vowels when the pool has only IY? as potential vowels.
>Ken_Clark: ?INRRTY G4 .RIT. +21 347
#note Ken said both Ms were in the bag, I think.
>Noah_Walton: AEELPSU 12B EPAULE.S +70 395
>Noah_Walton: (?MMNRY) +24 419
