#note the N and S hooks with the other placements of OWT are a bit worrisome - the W isn't too dangerous to put at H8, and some bingoes may only fit at I1 or G1, giving me the triple.

I did not consider TWO though, which only takes the S. TWO H6 is probably the play!

#note maybe L12 ION to at least force a block... and those blocks often give me an S hook back. I think that's the way to go here.

#note lots of vowels unseen, especially Es, so keeping DNP isn't so bad here. I could do D(O)PA and hope for a large O1 play, but Karl may block those cause he'll still have a decent lead. I wanted to keep the P and not the C cause the P felt a bit better for scoring here (d column, N column)

case wins a sim, followed by DOPE (makes sense cause of the plethora of Es unseen)

#note fuck I totally missed the PHI possibility at 14c... YEH is 34.

Champ comes up with a super cool play - I3 WED(D)E(d) for 18 - if I draw an A I get YEAH! It also saves YEH 14a in reserve! I draw an A just over half the time.

Q also likes 14B EH over YEH, presumably because it is better endgame timing to leave 6 in the bag so that my subsequent play can more easily leave one in the bag - YEH leaves 5 in the bag, and Karl can play 4 or 3 tiles and make my position very difficult, where I will have to empty the bag and concede endgame timing. WEDDED and EH look like the plays.

I'm surprised Quackle doesn't come up with WEED - the H probably scores more than the W here

#note I'm not sure if I just didn't see HEDGY or what, but HEDGY and EDGY are both very good ideas that I somehow failed to play. I don't remember drinking too much the morning of day 4, but I hope I was

Q likes HENGE by a mile - 45% win with HEDGY at 15. I think I'm only winning this game by outscoring his out in two, unless I luck into him being unable to do an out in two (which probably requires me drawing 2 of GNR). I can't imagine EDGY doing worse than HENGE in terms out outscoring - only sacrifices 2 now but with significant upside with HEDGY and forced blocks.

if I hit HEDGY, I usually get 35, which is a total of 52 between EDGY and HEDGY, minus 6 from my draw - 46 total. If I draw the G that would be 50 total. Given my 23 point deficit, if I don't draw the G, he needs to score 24 with an out in two to beat EDGY (or 28 if I draw the G). He can also often do an out in two while blocking though, which demands much less of his out in twos.

My intuition is that I need to draw consonants to win this game, probably 2 of them, and so HEDGY is probably the play, since EEN will deal with consonants fairly well. If I draw two consonants I may be able to win with any of the three plays though - I don't think I can win if he can make an out in two.

#note lots I could have done differently this game - WEDDED or YEH, HUGEOUS, HEDGY
