>Jackson: EMNRTTW J6 WR.T +15 15
#note this is probably the optimal play (or WENT) - I didn't like what went did to the board because I want a more open game where I feel like I have more control. WRIT isn't great because the E hook can make his plays easier - went does make his plays harder sometime, but I'd rather let the board get more open. WRIT hooks can close the board, but they get rehooked. I like what WETTER does to the board, but writ and went are too much better optimally.
>bruced: AJY 9F JAY +19 33
>Jackson: DEMNOPT 10F OMEN +29 44
#note I really like this type of position - I know I'm going to play underneath JAY, but I have to figure out how to balance my own equity with scoring defense - a play like POM or POME are pretty good equity plays, but give back a lot. I tend to go the scoring defense route in these positions because I don't want to give back an easy play. Bruce's position after OMEN is a lot more difficult than it is after POME (he averages over 40 after POM, 37 after POME, and 33 after OMEN alone).

The only problem with this position is that the puzzle is so interesting I neglect to look for other plays! DO(R)P 7H is a great play! it makes the position really good for me especially if he Bruce underlaps JAY, since a lot of people have a tendency to not consider scoring defense enough, so I may get a juicy underlap
>bruced: ELTU 11C LUTE +18 51
>Jackson: DINPTWY 12D TIYN +34 78
#note It felt like I "won" this exchange since I got a nice parallel back - I was wondering if he missed ELUTE, and that was part of the thinking with doing TIYN and not WIND(U)P - if he missed elute, it's nice to protect it with TIYN.

>Jackson: BDEFPSW H12 SPEW +39 117
>bruced: ?AMORSV - +0 70
>Jackson: BDEFLLT L7 F.LLED +20 137
#note I think D(E)LFT is the play, or even DELF. FULLED is okay but it doesn't really block adieus and that could get annoying later. at least the bottom of the board could be totally dead after fulled and one more play, but delft accomplishes the same thing while keeping nicer tiles. both sections of the board I'm blocking are about equal in terms of his bingo %, so it doesn't really matter whether I block the E in spew or the adieus hook first.

this whole position also depends on my assumption that he missed the ODAH hook - if I think he sees it, I might want to do something that closes it down. I could also do (D)ELFT here, but that blocks the O hook that I think I can capitalize on later.
>bruced: ?AEGITT M1 aGITATE +72 142
>Jackson: ABORTXZ K11 BORAX +39 176
#note super interesting position - ZAX is 61 and a monster (even keeps the O for ODAH), but BORAX sets up my Z. Only problem with borax is it allows him to bingo through the letters in agitate, which is unideal given my commanding position. ZAX seems like the better play now, borax is cute but ZAX averages almost as much over the two turns while being far more defensive.
>bruced: EIMNR 1J REM.IN +30 172

#note keeping the O for ODAH - over 100 valuation statically!
