#player2 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
>Nigel_Richards: EJLO H5 JOLE +22 22
#note oh really Nigel, you're gonna set up a variant board like that
>Joshua_Sokol: EIIOSVY 5H .IVY +34 34
#note It took a lot not to play JIVEY for 2 more and keep fewer vowels, but the defensive merits and the likelihood of drawing into a bingo next turn (very close between the two options) caused me to courageously play this after a couple of minutes of thought. However given Nigel's aggressive range, I should play JIVEY here.
>Nigel_Richards: ?ADENOT 8A hEADNOT. +80 102
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEIIOS D6 OI.IA +6 40
#note I have already lost at this point.
>Nigel_Richards: X 9C X. +34 136
#note oh you
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEMNSV 4K MAVEN +29 69
#note Exch V is really powerful here, as I hit an 83-pointer with an A or an E and have a 70%+ chance of a bingo next turn. That sims a point higher. Possibly the right play.
>Nigel_Richards: DEENRSW F7 W.RSENED +68 204
#note and my situation has worsened. Nigel didn't deem it necessary not to open up an easy-to-hit 2x2 here, and a short sim gives him the check mark by around a point. He took around 2 minutes here to iterate.
>Joshua_Sokol: DIORRSU E10 DOUR +22 91
#note Still playing a solid game. Perhaps I play G11 DURO for recursion purposes. Glad I sacrificed the 1 point here over DURO one spot below. That's just too easy to score with and even block the H in a few turns.
>Nigel_Richards: MRT N2 TR.M +12 216
>Joshua_Sokol: HILORSU D12 HOUR +31 122
#note Getting totally outclassed at this point, this is the best I've got.
>Nigel_Richards: CEENPSU A3 PENUC.ES +62 278
>Joshua_Sokol: AIILNSS 9H SI +15 137
#note didn't mark down my racks starting here(!), let's see if I can figure this out over a month later. As I laid this down unhappily and hit my clock, Nigel said "I guess I'll let you have it". Honestly it might be wiser to go straight for a 3x3 here such as the one I went for next turn with a move such as 15A LAI(R). 6M IS for 2 less is more active, so perhaps that's the play. It creates lots of vertical lines that are much better than this one, but it also blocks me from ever achieving a 3x3.
>Nigel_Richards: CDEEIKT 3A .ICKETED +86 364
>Joshua_Sokol: AIIILNS 4D ANIL +26 163
#note probably this, but not sure what my last tile was apart from IS. I'm now going for SIE(N)ITES O1. Nigel didn't realize, but it only scores 130 anyway, he's ahead 200
>Nigel_Richards: AAGLL J7 ALGAL +12 376
>Joshua_Sokol: FIIS H1 FI. +21 184
#note not sure how close to SIENITES I was, but it doesn't really matter I guess
>Nigel_Richards: AEOT M3 O.ATE +26 402
#note still plays!
>Joshua_Sokol: IQS B2 Q. +22 206
>Nigel_Richards: BITT K10 BITT +20 422
>Joshua_Sokol: BGHINRS 13C B... +12 218
#note B(ORE)R bingos more, what was I thinking? That he would exchange and I could bingo twice? Meh. I wanted to play this to make sure Nigel knew I knew I was boring him.
>Nigel_Richards: AEWY 15A WEA.Y +33 455
>Joshua_Sokol: GHINRSU 14I RUSHING +83 301
>Nigel_Richards: ?AEFGOP L8 GrAPE +32 487
#note pretty damn fast endgame solving
>Joshua_Sokol: ORZ 6C Z.O +12 313
>Nigel_Richards: FO 14B FO. +27 514
#note :/

guess I needed to exchange V instead of MAVEN and JIVEY instead of JIVY. Had a bad feeling about those.
>Nigel_Richards: (R) +2 516
