Player 1
#player1 JD JD
#player2 Rasheed Rasheed
>JD: AEGIOSV 8D VOGIE +26 26
#note Rasheed is a great player. He's one of my favorite opponents since switching over to CSW full time. I rarely beat him!
>Rasheed: DHOZ E5 DZH. +34 34
>JD: AIKRSTT 7G KAT +26 52
#note very interesting that KAT and KART sim even. Normally the R bumps IST up by a good 5-6 points, but my thought is that IRST is weaker when there are no vowels to play through. To demonstrate this, I simmed xAKT versus xAKRT, and in that case keeping IRST sims 4 points better. Another likely factor is that KART sets up a nice hook onto the pointier column K.
>Rasheed: AAELORS -AAE +0 34
>JD: IIPRRST I7 .RIP +17 69
#note tempting to score 41 for DZHOS/GI/KIP/SIP, but it sims well worse. I picked TRIP instead of PIR to leave the board more open since I'm keeping strong leave, but I'm just setting him up for a first shot at row 11, which is an especially bad idea after he just exchanged 3.
>Rasheed: TUU H10 UTU +8 42
#note lucky that he drew poorly after his exchange
>JD: ABIRSTY 11E BIT.Y +30 99
#note the turning point of the game - I saw TRAYBITS, but chickened out of it, thinking it might just be TREYBITS. of the 6 bingos I missed at NSC, I chickened out of 3 of them and only played one phony bingo, so in future I would tune my decision-making to be more aggressive.
>Rasheed: INXY 12B NIXY +35 77
>JD: ANRRRST C11 T.RR +8 107
>Rasheed: AEL F4 LEA +21 98
>JD: AGLNPRS 15C SPRANG +41 148
>Rasheed: ADELNSU J1 UNLEADS +72 170
>JD: ADILOQR D2 QADI +32 180
#note a second game-losingly poor move - failed to dig up LIQUOR here. shame!
>Rasheed: WW 5I W.W +18 188
>JD: DILNOOR L1 DROOL +26 206
#note leave the top-right open by playing DROOL at 14B, or play at L1? WAW scared me a bit - he clearly has something potent - even though the R definitely helps the IN leave. I would probably try the 14B placement if I could do this play over again.
>Rasheed: ALV C3 LAV +27 215
>JD: EEFINNT 14F FE +28 234
#note here I realized that I was an A off from INUNDATE for 81 after my fish...
>Rasheed: AJ 6B JA +32 247
>JD: EEIINNT D8 .IE +6 240
#note awful decision. I decided to fish for INUNDATE again and basically give up on the equity path for the rest of the game, with disastrous consequences. just DINE or UNDINE look very reasonable, or NIE at I1 if I'm reluctant to open up the top-right.
>Rasheed: ??INOTU M5 sUcTION +66 313
>JD: BEEINNT N10 BE +22 262
#note I'm obviously in big trouble. I think this is actually a reasonable play to try avoiding to kill the board (after BENET, he can overlap and the game will essentially end).
>Rasheed: CMORS O6 CORMS +32 345
>JD: EEINNOT 3I O.E. +5 267
#note he will almost certainly block row 13 next, so what choice do I have besides fishing?
>Rasheed: HMOO L10 HOMO +30 375
>JD: CEEINNT 2D .IN +14 281
#note trying for FECUNDATE as a 185-point triple-triple, because why not at this point?
>Rasheed: AAEEEIS 13A AE.IE +24 399
>JD: CEEFGNT 1G FEC.N. +36 317
#note one tile off, drew FG instead of A. FENCE at K11 is a better play. moral of the story is play better early and you probably won't have to make such awful decisions
>Rasheed: AES 7A EAS +22 421
>Rasheed: (EGT) +8 429
