#player1 JD JD
#player2 James_Curley James Curley
>JD: EENNOUV 8D VENUE +24 24
#note I'd lost 3 in a row in the morning, but I felt OK because I felt like I'd given each of those games a good try, and I was playing one of my favorite opponents to end the morning.
>James_Curley: IQ F6 QI. +32 32
>JD: AINOOTT D4 OTTA.INO +72 96
>James_Curley: ?EEIJNO 10C E.JOINEd +66 98
>JD: EHMRRTW C9 H.WER +44 140
>James_Curley: EW E10 .EW +38 136
>JD: AAKMPRT C2 PAK +24 164
#note could also throw down IMPARK for 5 extra at 7G. I think my vocab is a little deeper than James', so I'm OK with keeping the board a little more open.
>James_Curley: AINY 9H AYIN +24 160
>JD: AALMRST 8K ALARM +26 190
#note I saw TAMALS for 11 more, and recognized that the first S wasn't doing too much for me at the moment, but hanging an S in space was pretty unappetizing. after he just spent two turns grooming his rack. I think it's worth it now, though.
>James_Curley: GUV 7I VUG +15 175
>JD: ADFRSST B12 FADS +23 213
#note didn't come up with the star play of DAFTARS at M7
>James_Curley: IPU A13 PIU +29 204
>JD: ADRRSST 13E SARD +20 233
#note this play was a stumper. didn't want to give back free points with SPARD/SPRAD. maybe PARRS at 13A? seemed like a tossup.
>James_Curley: EILUY E1 ULYIE +27 231
>JD: EIORSTT 1D T.TORISE +77 310
#note lucky on the draw.
>James_Curley: CDOO L1 DOCO +30 261
>JD: BCDHLOX M3 HOX +42 352
#note it seemed like cashing HOX right away might not be optimal - and indeed, Q suggests the delightful BODACH at M5 setting up the X both ways. I like it - BCDL has disaster racks breathing down its nech, and the 91-point lead after HOX is only an M- bingo away from evaporating. (BODACH also looks unfamiliar)
>James_Curley: AFIIL H13 .IF +21 282
#note I think he put ILIA on the board first?
>JD: ?BBCDLZ M7 C.Z +27 379
#note can relax some after drawing the blank. I seriously thought about cashing the blank for FUZIL/ZAYIN. it seems like the only way I'm going to lose is if I never draw consonants again and can't score any points, so perhaps it's worth cashing the Z now?
>James_Curley: AEEGILS O8 .ILEAGES +86 368
>JD: ?BBDLNN 14J BLoND. +28 407
#note I can totlaly still lose here if I pull 3 consonants out of the bag, which is not that unlikely a scenario - maybe ~25%? I was concerned
>James_Curley: AEEMORT K3 ERG +19 387
#note EMERG is pretty cool at this spot
>JD: ABENT N1 ABET +25 432
#note I drew two vowels, so I'm safe. should drop BE at 13L.
>James_Curley: MORT O1 MO +28 415
>JD: N 7F .N +6 438
>JD: (RT) +4 442
