>sneakyofverb: ADEILTT 8G TID +8 8
#note thought long (probably too long) on this. my decision eventually came down to this or TI. but i hate the D, so TID it was. fwiw, a sim says TI and exch. T (which i manually added in) are best, with TID/DIT a couple points behind. i'm surprised exch. T does so well, as it only combines with eight other letters (none of them vowels) to make 7s. i'm guessing it assumes your opponent will make a play that will provide 8s? because if my opponent opens by exchanging ONE TILE, i'm totally gonna throw down some measly non-bingo to ensure i'm the first to cover that center square.
>cris_beverage: OW 9F WO +9 9
#note spoiler alert: we'll eventually hit double-digit scores.
>sneakyofverb: AEGLRRT 10E REGAL +19 27
#note just as a sidenote (and warning), a few of my plays this game came out of exhaustion and poor decision making. something like h7 RIG looks much better. and that would ensure we roughly maintain a nine-point average.
>cris_beverage: GGIM 11H MIGG +22 31
>sneakyofverb: CEILORT 12B CORTILE +76 103
#note i spent what must have been five or six minutes debating the validity of a high-prob 7. yeesh. by the fourth minute, i was almost ready to slap down 12k OLEIC. fortunately, i convinced myself CORTILE is not something i made up by combining two other legit words.
>cris_beverage: FFO B12 .OFF +24 55
>sneakyofverb: ADEILPQ A13 PIE +39 142
#note 7h QI is what i should've played, but i was entranced by the 12 extra points. but we all know choosing PIE is almost always the right decision.
>cris_beverage: I C12 .I +14 69
#note ruh roh.
>sneakyofverb: ?ADELQR H7 Q. +11 153
#note finally, something the duck also likes!
>cris_beverage: ADEIRRT J3 TARDIER +67 136
>sneakyofverb: ?ADEEKL 5E LAcKE.ED +98 251
#note the only double-double. i would've liked to have found a comparable play that didn't slot the A above the TLS, but it doesn't exist and i guess i shouldn't complain about scoring 98.
>cris_beverage: ALX 6D LAX +53 189
#note even with a decent leads, plays like this could fluster you and put you in a negative mindset. push through and play your game.
>sneakyofverb: AEEEHTV H1 THEE. +39 290
#note this nets the most points, although 4a HEVEA comes out with the better leave. i've got no issues retaining AEV, even with the other V unplayed.
>cris_beverage: ENORSSS L8 SENSORS +75 264
#note now you can start to worry, but try to remain focused.
>sneakyofverb: AAACETV 4A CAVEAT +41 331
#note you could argue for something else, but i wouldn't suggest doing that.
>cris_beverage: ?DINNRU 14G UNRIN.eD +70 334
#note you know that moment when you realize you're gonna lose but still have the will power to not reach across the table and throttle your opponent? this wasn't one of those moments.
>sneakyofverb: AABMNYY 15E MANY +44 375
#note wait, maybe i still have a shot...
>cris_beverage: BOTU 13J TU.BO +27 361
#note ...not if he's setting up his Z. and has at least one other decent place to score decently with it.
>sneakyofverb: ABNNOUY 15M NAY +26 401
#note i was focused on playing something in this corner. sim says a1 BUNCO is best, but that's not assuming the other guy holds the Z. yup, NAY is fine.
>cris_beverage: APZ 8L .PAZ +45 406
#note scored as 48. fwiw, ZAP is 59 at 15m.
>sneakyofverb: BINOOSU L1 BOUN. +22 423
#note dammit, the bingo doesn't play anymore. settled on BOUND because i was protecting against JEWED/JOWED in the same spot. because i looked at the open C and obviously determined there couldn't be anything decent with the J...
>cris_beverage: EEHIJOU A1 JUI.E +42 448
#note ...you know, besides common words.
>sneakyofverb: IOSVW 1L .OWS +27 450
#note o10 VOWS. but it doesn't really matter at this point.
>cris_beverage: EHO 11C HOE +26 474
#note gg. (final recorded score: 450-487.)
>cris_beverage: (IV) +10 484
