#player2 Judy_Romann Judy Romann
>JD: IIMNUVZ 8G MIZ +28 28
#note the first of two maddening pre-lunch games...this was a poor decision. keeping the Z is much more promising, even with two Is leftover. the nice idea here is playing VUM at 8H gunning for some MIZ/MOZ overlaps, which sims better than the conventional 8G placement by a point.
>Judy_Romann: IT I8 .IT +13 13
>JD: EINOOUV 11E ENVOI +29 57
#note stronger than OUTVIE with I initially considered. should play OVINE and hide the E.
>Judy_Romann: SX H7 S.X +19 32
>JD: ACEMORU D9 MORCEAU +83 140
#note her last play took a lot of thinking. she clearly had something good with an S.
>Judy_Romann: ACEIPST C3 SPICATE +81 113
>JD: ADIOTUY 4C .AYOUT +24 164
#note even with TOADY, which is the other play I considered.
>Judy_Romann: AHY C13 HAY +35 148
>JD: ADEILOR 5B A.DOI +27 191
#note fishing an O with YO wasn't that appealing because a lot of the bingos don't go down. one option is to fish the O at 10J and create a lane, but I think Judy is more likely to block that lane than Q is on the sim.
>Judy_Romann: ENW H1 NEW. +21 169
>JD: EILNORU 7E LOU. +10 201
#note as on the previous turn, the board is fairly tight, so fishier plays like LOUS aren't going to work as well. a little better would be finding a way to score more (UNCO at 6A or ICON at 6B).
>Judy_Romann: ENSV H11 .VENS +36 205
>JD: AEEEINR I2 EE +11 212
#note pretty close call between this and playing WEENIER angling for a blank. this wins by a little bit. I liked that I might be able to bingo on column J next turn.
>Judy_Romann: ?AELNRT 15H .ALTERNs +74 279
>JD: AAEINNR 8A AN. +9 221
#note this because I wanted to set up another lane where I could bingo. Q agrees with my thinking.
>Judy_Romann: DHIN 14F HI.D +19 298
>JD: ABEINRS K8 BARNIES. +70 291
>Judy_Romann: ?BDEILO O8 BLOnDIE. +83 381
#note I...can't believe this happened. I remembered BLONDIE* as a famous TWL phony, and then decided it was good in CSW. if I challenge this off and play WAQF I probably have at least a 40% chance of winning (need to bingo with AERT and then win the endgame), versus something like 5-10%. ugh. Needless to say, I was appalled after the game when I looked the rack up.
>JD: AEFQRTW A7 W.QF +19 310
#note I don't have my actual rack ritten down, but it was something like this.
>Judy_Romann: J 10N J. +25 406
>JD: AEELORT 6B E.O +15 325
#note I believe this was my rack?
>Judy_Romann: FU 8M FU. +8 414
>JD: ADELORT 13G D. +10 335
#note I could come up with no better plan than going for DELATION/RELATION. I can fish for 6 more if I remembered to look for SPICATED.
>Judy_Romann: GGGKPRRT 2F GR..T +12 426
#note nicely done
>JD: AEILORT L9 LEAT +18 353
#note went over on time
>Judy_Romann: GGKPR 12J K.. +7 433
>JD: IOR N10 .O +10 363
>Judy_Romann: GGPR - +0 433
#note did she pass to get me over on time? I don't have a record of her playing anything....
>JD: IR M6 RI. +7 370
#note WEIR. went over by a minute
>JD: (GGPR) +16 386
