>Jim_Burlant: ?FIKMRR 8G FIRM +18 18
#note Perhaps MIRK instead?
>Ken_Rubin: FINY G6 NI.FY +19 19
>Jim_Burlant: ?HKORTU 6F K.OUT +21 39
#note And with all the letters he could take out, he takes out the F and blocks FUTHORKS. :-( No idea why I missed HOKUM here. Surprsingly this sims best, but I think I'm better off with HOKUM, at least from the rack perspective. 67% to win.
>Ken_Rubin: LLOX 10F X.LOL +33 52
>Jim_Burlant: ?AEGHRW 11I HAW +25 64
#note Board vision failure. HEW 9I scores 28.
>Ken_Rubin: OO F9 O.O +15 67
>Jim_Burlant: ?EGRRSS L5 SuRGERS +69 133
#note Better than nothing, but ReGRESS L6 scores 78.
>Ken_Rubin: DEOT 12H DOTE +21 88
>Jim_Burlant: AADENRT 8L .RAD +18 151
#note Not a major miss, but apparently less is more here. ADS 5J looks to be the ticket if the duck is to be believed. Still in good shape, at 75 - 76%. However, this was about to start getting tough, with the tile bag absolutely not cooperating.
>Ken_Rubin: AAG K3 AGA +12 100
>Jim_Burlant: AENPTTU M3 TUP +15 166
#note No playable 8's in this rack (C, L, and Y are needed for PUNCTATE, PETULANT/PATULENT, and PEANUTTY). Again, no really good options are available. Q likes E11 PUT (I don't), 7J UPRATE, and 13J UNAPT. Maybe UNAPT if I had this to do again. 80% to win with this.
>Ken_Rubin: CNOO N1 COON +16 116
>Jim_Burlant: AEEENTV 1L TA.E +21 187
#note Right idea, wrong execution. This was the 7th game and the lateness of the hour combined with the strain of my last two days was catching up with me. The longer play I failed to see was TENACE 1J. Still treading water at 80% to win.
>Ken_Rubin: ?AEEHNS 13B ENcHASE +73 189
#note Best bingo is DASHEENs O8 for 86. Other bingo options are SAPHENAE N7, 2E SHEBEAN.
>Jim_Burlant: CDEEENV B9 EVEN.D +36 223
#note No brainer - M11 EVE and EVEN are next best, but this is clearly best.
>Ken_Rubin: EO 14E OE +13 202
>Jim_Burlant: CDEIIMY A5 DICEY +38 261
#note Or ICY A7, which wins within 1% of this choice. 79% to win.
>Ken_Rubin: ABGLNQV -3 +0 202
>Jim_Burlant: ABIIMUW N7 I.MBI +15 276
#note Hmmm. I saw this rack and struggled - he can bingo to 9D, and he's also got the O column. I figured that if I had to let him have a line, the C column would be the lesser of evils. Hence, my decision to defend the N and O columns . This isn't one of the original options but it sims respectably. The other play I rejected was C7 MAW because, with 4 I's unseen keeping BIIU looked like a Game Losing Play. I'm okay with this, even if it gives up 5 points on the scoreboard to D8 IAMBIC, which wins the sim.
>Ken_Rubin: AEGINST C3 INGATES +77 279
#note Best bingo for Ken, but he's still only 35% to win.
>Jim_Burlant: AEIUVWZ J2 ZA +33 309
#note I figured I would worry about the W and V on the next turn. I also figured it would be wise to hold the U as Q insurance, which ruled out WUZ on row 14. Probably should be playing WIZ on row 14 if I have this turn to do again.
>Ken_Rubin: EITU B2 ETUI +17 296
>Jim_Burlant: AEIJUVW 11E J. +18 327
#note With the Q unseen I wanted to limit my exposure to the pool; hence, this play. I figured I would play WAIVE on row 14 on the next turn.
>Ken_Rubin: ILLPR 14H PRILL +15 311
>Jim_Burlant: ABEIUVW 12A U. +3 330
#note Still oblivious to the new 3's. WIVE plays at O3 for 21. I knew I had Ken Q-stuck, so I just started dinking out one and two tiles at a time.
#note Not sure I've got the sequence annotated correctly. Ken is Q stuck, I dink out over the course of 3 or 4 more plays. Final score 387 - 320, my win.
