>Matthew_Tunicliffe: CHIVY 8H CHIVY +40 40
>Jim_Burlant: AAKNPST J6 PA.K +16 16
#note This rack looks like it should score more than this, but it doesn't. This or KAIN in the same place are best. Of note: PYSANKA (which I didn't know) L7 scores 32.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: BDINS 10F BINDS +29 69
>Jim_Burlant: AFNOSTW L4 FAWN. +28 44
#note Best. NONFAT H10 is also a good choice.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: DMO K3 DOM +25 94
>Jim_Burlant: AENOSTV 11A NOVATES +76 120
#note Thank goodness for the new words, part 1. Without this, I'd be playing NOVATE for 39 and winning not quite 40%. This is the only bingo. Quackle's assessment is that this wins just shy of 51%; we're still more or less in a deuce game.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: AENZ B10 Z.NAE +68 162
>Jim_Burlant: ADIMOPS A13 MOP +27 147
#note FAIL. After agonizing over whether I was missing an 8, I saw this and put this down to draw 3 to AIDS. This is a bad miss - the best play is clearly to score big and take away easy Z overlaps with A(V)OID C10 for 38. AVOID wins just shy of 46%; this sims 23 (!!) points down and barely wins 34.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: AESW C9 WA.ES +53 215
>Jim_Burlant: ADEILSU D3 DUALISE +73 220
#note Thank goodness for the new words, part 2. If DUALISE wasn't valid as it is now, what would I do with this? At least this gets me back into the game, and it wins 41%. 3D DUALISED scores 9 less and wins 7% less often.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: EJTU M2 JUTE +33 248
>Jim_Burlant: BEIOTTX C2 TEXT +39 259
#note I never looked for anything holding onto the X. Quackle says my best play, which I never even considered, was N1 TOT. Though it only scores 26 to this play's 39, look what it does: it threatens IBEX O1 for 84 on the next turn. Worst case, if the O column goes away, I'll still have IBEX C1 for 41 as a consolation prize. While this is not a horrible choice per se, it really is a missed opportunity to set myself up for a potential knockout punch. 43% to win, presumably because, given the score, neither blank is in my rack.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: FIR E5 RIF +25 273
>Jim_Burlant: BDIOQTT J2 QI +34 293
#note Now that I cashed the X prematurely, N column plays are no longer correct. Gotta deal with the Q before the spot disappears. Still only 47% to win. At this score, I assume that reflects the unseen blanks.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: INO N1 ION +26 299
>Jim_Burlant: ?BDOTUY I3 BUY +20 313
#note The only 8s in this rack, (neither of which I saw), were AUTOBODY and BODYSUIT, so I don't have any bingoes. As for this - a little too much rack grooming. F4 YOB scores 9 more points but this is only a 3-point dog in a sim. However - now that I have the blank, my winning chances have increased to 71-1/2%.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: AGR D11 .GAR +24 323
>Jim_Burlant: ??DILOT 15D sTyLOID +73 386
#note I have four bingo options: three of them are different placements of sTyLOID (O3, N5, and 15D) and F1 DIGLOTS. While a sim can't decide if this choice or F1 DIGLOTS is the best bingo even at 4000 iterations, Quackle's evaluation still puzzles me. While Championship player says this is the best bingo option, both the sim and Championship player think I should pass up the bingo in favor of OD - why is it best for me to pass up the bingo?
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: GRU B1 RUG +17 340
>Jim_Burlant: AEEGHIR A1 ERA +24 410
#note Statically, Quackle wants me to dump the rack with 14I HOAGIE for 34. However, he's just opened up a huge A column threat. One note: I had spaced on the UN(I) back hook. Thus, I mistakenly thought the only threats were row 14 (which gives back all sorts of counterplay at 15O if he hits), and the A column, since he doesn't have an M to hit on row 12. Given my misreading of the situation, I played this to take out the A column. Championship Player's read is counterintuitive, to be sure; it feels 14J AGREE is best, and I see why. Whle AGREE opens up the N column, anything Matthew can hit there will only score 60 while probably giving me 35 - 40 back at O8.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: LOO 9G LOO. +27 367
>Jim_Burlant: AEEGHIO 14I HOE +18 428
#note Again, recall that I'm still spacing on the UNI plays down the O column so I'm trying to block as many bingoes as I can without giving him an opening for another 7. If he's got TIERCEL, that's life. Fortunately for me, he doesn't. Best is apparently F5 OE for 13 so as to not empty the bag, but I don't see how that still wins 96% of the time compared to 89 for this.
>Matthew_Tunicliffe: CEEENRT L12 CERT +21 388
#note Not sure I have the racks written down correctly, so annotation ends here. Matthew draws a bunch of inert garbage, my rack is overloaded with a bunch of vowels. Final score 454 - 401
>Jim_Burlant: AEEEGII F3 AGEE +16 444
