#player1 Ryan_Fischer Ryan Fischer
#player2 Joel_Wapnick Joel Wapnick
>Ryan_Fischer: DDLNOTU 8G UNTOLD +18 18
#note The sim doesn't really differentiate between the two placements, but hindsight being what it is, there seems to be no reason not to sacrifice the two points here.
>Joel_Wapnick: MOQRU G7 Q.ORUM +28 28
>Ryan_Fischer: ADLNSUX J7 D.UX +28 46
#note Apparently F9 DUX is 3 points better-ish.
>Joel_Wapnick: INRTY H11 NITRY +34 62
>Ryan_Fischer: ABELNST L4 BLAN.EST +72 118
#note Jeez, I missed ABSENTL(Y). There it is. B(R)ANTLES, too. I thought to myself "NESTABL(Y)?" Pass! Ugh. -19 or so after 1000 spins 2-play. Presumably because he gets more lanes to work with if I play it.
>Joel_Wapnick: BCOR 12D BRO..C +24 86
#note He thought a long time here.
>Ryan_Fischer: ?EEEGVW 14F VE.GE +19 137
#note There's few better feelings than bingoing, then picking up the blank. Especially against a top player. The sim likes WEEVE(R). I don't like that board. VE(R)GE controls things better, and gets rid of the worst tile in the bag.
>Joel_Wapnick: AAHIRST D8 TARA.ISH +68 154
>Joel_Wapnick: DEGNRU (challenge) +5 159
#note I mean, TARA(B)ISH is fancy and all, but even with my +5, SHARIAT is better. Iono. He had it through two different Bs, though. That's pretty funny. I challenged primarily because he blocked IRONWA(R)E. Should've just sucked it up and accepted it because top experts like that don't really play phonies.
>Ryan_Fischer: ?AEINOW 15A WOA. +30 167
>Joel_Wapnick: DEGNRU 15J NUDGER +32 191
>Ryan_Fischer: ?ACEEIN 5E CINErEA. +86 253
#note Best.
>Joel_Wapnick: ?DEENPW C3 PiNWEED +87 278
>Ryan_Fischer: KOPTVYZ 13J POKY +31 284
#note Yeah, I'm not gonna play POZ and leave KTVY and set up a super dangerous S hook I don't have. Really would love to shuck another consonant, which is why POKY (as much as I hate partying with the Y and O, for TOAZ(E) or AVYZ(E) possibilities. Short sim winner is B8 YOK because it sets up my P. Cool! Didn't know PYET. POKY is 2nd.
>Joel_Wapnick: EJO B8 JOE +26 304
>Ryan_Fischer: EELOTVZ H1 ZLOT. +45 329
#note JEEZ, I did not know LEEZ(E)! Oh well. That's two blown plays.
>Joel_Wapnick: AEFFGII G2 AGI. +16 320
>Ryan_Fischer: AEEFIOV 14N FE +22 351
#note FOE is out 'cause of S and T, OAF is out 'cause of L. FIE and FIVE are both out. I forgot VA(r)E. That looks good. I chose FE to block the last viable bingo line. I don't know if that's right, but I kind of disagree with the sim here. I should've taken (C)OVE, though, when I had the chance. That V is such dead weight, and I should've claimed that spot first. But there was the outside chance of a bingo that I had to stop.
>Joel_Wapnick: AAM 14A AMA. +27 347
>Ryan_Fischer: AEIILOV I3 VA. +23 374
#note Champ says K7 O(L)LIE forming DON, ULE, XIS, and ET for 31. Yeah, that'd do it! VA(r) isn't terrible, but it isn't great. Doesn't deal with my I problem when I'm staring down the barrel of 3 unseen. My problem is, I didn't remember ULE. I won't forget it now!
>Joel_Wapnick: FI D3 IF +22 369
>Ryan_Fischer: EIIILOS 7G .I +13 387
#note O(L)LIE is still there. And of course I draw another I! CLIES also wins. I saw it, and then FROZE. Ugh. I thought I had to get rid of one of my Is, so I just dumped it. Time trouble and whatnot. So close, yet so far.
>Joel_Wapnick: EHIRST E5 .IRES +23 392
>Ryan_Fischer: EIILOS A9 SOIL +13 400
#note Still OLLIE. But now it's the only win.
>Joel_Wapnick: HT 9L .TH +7 399
#note 6C (W)H(I)T 16.
>Joel_Wapnick: (EI) +4 403
