#note 10 minute ISC game from 7/31/18. Lots of interesting positions! I think the H7 placement of this might be a bit better since bingos paralleling this are harder, but ultimately what swayed me was the positions of the S's. Probably a mistake.
>Opp: ILLNNOT 4F LL.NO +5 5
#note Interesting play! Forks the board and keeps about as good of a leave as you can ask for from this rack. Not sure what's best here at all.

#note E9 OVINE seems to be the play.

>Opp: AEEGNOT 5H .EGATON +33 52
>Avery: BENNOTY D4 B.TONY +24 193
#note I don't see a reason to give him floaters with a play at E8, so this seems fine.

>Avery: AEIKNNR O1 KAIN +30 223
#note Wasn't really sure about this one in game. Considerations are this, KIRN, 8J KINASE, and O11 REINK. I don't like REINK much since it leaves the easiest scoring spots open, and the ENDOSTEAL hook doesn't seem to be a big threat. KINASE has the upside of turnover and taking up some space, but I liked playing at O1 to prevent a cheap 50 point play ending in F or H, and to stop him from putting a letter at O1 that would make a bingo lane that's pretty annoying to block. I preferred KAIN over KIRN since the extra consonant seems to be helpful for responding to openings. CP says I'm wrong, and that M9 or O11 INKER, in addition to O11 REINK are all better than my play. KINASE also values higher. Not sure my play is right here but I think it has merit. Curious to see what others think.

#note Find the one bingo that scores more than this one!

>Opp: DILOPRT 11H TRIPOD.L +72 259
>Avery: IIMPTXZ J10 Z.P +34 287
#note The Z doesn't seem to be a big asset here, so I chose this to score 30 while I could with it and set up two 40+ point spots for the X. I could also just take TIX now and leave ZIT for next turn. CP says to do TIX, winning 6% more often.
>Opp: EEEEQUU H11 .UQUE +45 304
>Avery: AIIMTUX O7 XI +42 329
#note Something like FISH or WISH would be annoying here, so I'd rather take this spot out. He apparently scores 5 or so points fewer after this play than 12J PIX.
>Opp: EEEFRSU 14B FEE. +29 333
>Avery: AGIMTUY D11 MAY.. +37 366
#note I'd like to block 12L if I can, but 37 is a lot to pass up, and he could easily play HAWED or something here. Having vowels going into that bag may not be the worst thing ever, either.
>Opp: AEHRSUW 8A HWA. +30 363
#note I like 12J PAW a lot more here. It's my easiest scoring spot, so taking that out and making the score nearly even seems like a good route.
>Avery: GHIINTU M11 .UH +14 380
#note I have 2 minutes left now, and I settled on this for several reasons. First, I stop his easiest 30 point option of 12J PAW or PEW while making it so only I can hit L12 if I want (since I have the N). Second, he can't bingo with something like SURFACER 14G. Third, I have a small chance at a bingo on column A. A sim says it's about a 30% chance. Finally, I save the possibility of plays on column L like BATTING. Definitely not sure this is right, but for being in time pressure, I don't hate it.
>Opp: AEFRSUW L2 W.F.URE +28 391
#note We had a long and interesting conversation about this position! Based on raw probability, WAFTURE wins the most often, only losing when I bingo out with BIRTHING, BITCHING or BIRCHING. However, it's important to note I only have a minute left, and he has 4, so time pressure could easily make me mess up. The benefits of B6 WAW are interesting. Obviously, he blocks the bingo lane. He saves the S, meaning I might be too hesitant to play something like L2 CATTING or CARTING. Most importantly, I'm under time pressure, my endgames also become a lot harder. If I have BCIINRT going into the endgame, I have 5 winning plays, most of which aren't easy to figure out or see (like L2 TANTRIC). I do think I would find L7 CITRON though. If I have BCGIINT, I only win with ACTING or C7 BAT, neither of which I feel like I would have seen. Probably the hardest endgame rack is BCGIIRT, of which only 8H/K5 ATIGI or O11 LICIT win. I'd say these racks are less likely than usual though, since I probably didn't keep the B after DUH, I probably did keep both I's, and likely the N. Hard to say what's best here, but considering I'm under time pressure, WAW seems right to complicate the game more.
