>Matt: FILSTTX 4C FIX +35 154

>Matt: LOQSTTU 10H SUQ +44 198
>Jackson: ANPRRTW 2K WRAP +27 138
#note setting up two T hooks is fun when down a bingo
>Matt: JLLNOTT 1H JOLT +39 237
>Jackson: AALNRTT E7 T.RLATAN +66 204
>Matt: ILNNRST 11I NIL +19 256
#note I hate fishing right nos but I think it's what I have to do - with TARLATANS, SUQS, and WRAPS/WRAPT available I have a lot of potential to bingo and NRST is pretty solid to hold with a pool contianing 25 vowels and only 20 consonants
>Jackson: ?BDGOUY 1M GUY +29 233
#note how defensive do I want to be after NIL? I imagine my range is stronger than his despite his usual defensive style when ahead - I think he could easily have nothing that blocked well and not necessarily a monster leave. If I think he has an S I could do YOUNG to block, but that just blocks the whole left quadrant and I would like to bingo. Started to not really fear his range and so played guy
>Matt: MNNRSTT 13C TR.M +12 268
#note Literally the worst thing that could have happened. This is why fishing when you're ahead sucks. Also how did I msis all of the vowels in that pool!?!?! I can't miss them again now that it's 24 vowels and 15 consonants
>Jackson: ?BDEKOP 3B KOB +32 265
>Matt: EHNNSST 15A HENTS +36 304
#note Once again I miss most of the vowels, and I start freaking out about the pool now; particularly, how many Is and Es are unseen. I hate playing 5 tiles here because I don't want to be drawing into that horrible pool, so maybe I play SHEN instead holding the most stable NST...?
>Jackson: ?DEGOPV 14B PEO. +26 291
#note a pretty hilarious 20 vowels to 9 consonants in the bag - definitely like keeping consonants here, so I was more okay with PEON than usual. that being said DGV aren't really good consonants, but at least I can try to outscore with this route. Another route I like but didn't see is (UP)DOVE - requires a consonant to play on the O column and it gets the board open for my eventual bingo. I like it a lot.
>Matt: EIIINSV 6H .I.E +20 324
#note In a vacuum, SI/BIZ looks solid but again, that pool is so horrendous that I'd rather play the extra tile here
>Jackson: ?ADGOUV 7K VUG +16 307
#note didn't consider VAU, that looks better to keep the extra consonant and to not give up as many overlaps. this is definitely giving up a lot though with DEVA and DEVI - he could start to outscore me if he hits a big play. I was thinking that he might parallel and open 1 or 2 8s lanes and then I can open the bottom of the board, but maybe I'm more in danger of being outscored than I thought. U(R)D 9g or ORG are worth considering. I think VAU is the way to go
>Matt: EIINSVW N4 VIES +17 341
#note First thought: How on earth does Jackson have enough consonants to warrant a play like VUG?

Second thought: Jackson *loves* setups and VUG is a terrifying double H setup - sets up bingo lines and also 50-point plays that will sink my chances anyway. I need to address the spot, even if it costs me my S.

Third thought: I'm going to lose this game, aren't I?
>Jackson: ?ADIOOT 12H OI +6 313
#note I haz last hooks
>Matt: AAHIINW 8K AHI +30 371
#note I guess he wasn't setting up the H.....

So do I address the hook that he set up with AHI 12K, do I score a bunch and hope to outrun his bingo with AHI 8K, or do I play AWAI(T) for for 22 and disrupt the floating G? I feel like if Jackson's range is as good as it seems, there's a good chance his bingo contains 3 consonants and a blank, meaning that he'll draw mostly vowels into his post-bingo draw and I can win the endgame. So I'm taking the points.
>Jackson: ?ADEIOT 13I TOADIEd +71 384
#note didn't see any nonbingoes that I thought had a reasonable shot at winning - Q suggests ODI(C) or IO(T)A or O(R)EAD. Oread and ODIC look to me like they could work, OREAD scores nicely but just doesn't hit bingoes a whole ton while ODIC probably hits more but gets outscored. Q thinks odic wins 64% and oread 53%, toadied 48%. DO/GID seemed to get outrun too easily cause I'll be forced to bingo on the A or B column. the thinking with ODIC is that he is forced to either make one big play and lose to an outbingo, or more likely he will play 1 tile and try to outrun a bingo, but he may not be able to do that as well since I will be drawing an outplay and so he can't do an out in two as well.
>Matt: AEIINNW O8 WAINE. +27 398
>Matt: AEIINNW -- -27 371
#note I figured out the endgame right but couldn't find the real words.... I saw WINNED and thought that it was definitely phoney, I didn't see INWIN(D) or ENWIN(D), and I tried this even though I was pretty confident it was invalid because I didn't have any other chances.

There are exactly three wins here, WINNED INWIND and ENWIND.

Blegh. Thanks for the series, Jackson.
