#player2 Matt_Canik Matt Canik
>Jackson_Smylie: DFI H7 DIF +14 14
#note For those of you keeping score at home, Jackson's game 5 win in our best-of-7 makes it 3-2 in my favor. One played has double-blanked the other in all 5 games those far, but I've been the one to draw both blanks in 4 out of the 5!
>Matt_Canik: EFLMRRW G8 MEWL +20 20
#note I felt like FLEW at 10H set up a stacking opportunity for a leave (MRR) that didn't work super well for stacking and it sets up two S hooks for an S I didn't have. MEWL sets up the F to for EFF plays next turn so I'll have some extra stability, albeit at the cost of some extra chances to bingo.
>Jackson_Smylie: AIOPTU F3 UTOPIA +19 33
>Matt_Canik: CFILRRS I9 FLIRR +26 46
#note FLIRR* is invalid. Phew!!!
>Jackson_Smylie: AEUX H12 EAUX +41 74
>Matt_Canik: CDEEHIS 4A CHEDI.ES +86 132
#note Jackson pointed out the cool 7 in this rack is DEHISCE, but this scores 14 more
>Jackson_Smylie: HIIL A4 .HILI +30 104
>Matt_Canik: ABEOQRT H1 QAT. +39 171
#note Oooooh TRO(CHILI) is cool!
>Jackson_Smylie: EO F10 OE +13 117
>Matt_Canik: BDENORV E8 ROVEN +37 208
#note ROVED is also a word
>Jackson_Smylie: AJR D9 JAR +33 150
>Matt_Canik: BCDNOST J6 COBS +24 232
#note Let's play some defense!
>Jackson_Smylie: EEINOST 3H .EOSINTE +68 218
#note The problem with defense is that if they do hit a marginal line, you've squandered equity for no reason
>Matt_Canik: ADGINNT L2 N.DATING +72 304
#note But it's find if you'll just draw bingos, I guess
>Jackson_Smylie: BN E3 N.B +20 238
>Matt_Canik: EKORTUW O1 WE.K +48 352
>Jackson_Smylie: ?AIMNPS 13F Pe..MAINS +74 312
#note A nice play by Jackson, and one of the worst things that could have happened for me. This is far better than a play like ShIPMAN in the B column because Jackson needs two bingos to win and he opens another line. There's also M(AR)zIPANS for 80, which does the same thing but slots the S in the 3x3 line. I'm honestly not sure if that ends up helping or hurting Jackson, as I will *surely* block that S and likely score decently in the process, whereas the S in PEARMAINS gets blocked less often and scores less on average when I do block it
>Matt_Canik: GOORTTU 12L GOUT +22 374
#note Luckily, I have a block that scores decently and cleans up a clunky rack (and holds TROCHILI so I can not see if for the fourth time this game)
>Jackson_Smylie: VY 11I .VY +18 330
>Matt_Canik: DEEORTY N10 YO..E +32 406
>Jackson_Smylie: AAGLORU 5K L. +4 334
>Matt_Canik: ADEERTZ B8 DAZE +37 443
#note Jackson said the ? was the last tile in the bag. I have to block SAgUARO
>Jackson_Smylie: ?AAGORU O7 bOGAR. +25 359
>Matt_Canik: ERT M5 RET +12 455
#note And that's the series. I definitely drew better, but we both left opportunities on the table throughout - I got three phoneys to stick in 6 games but definitely misplayed some situations.
