>Charles_Reinke: AAEEJNR H6 JEAN +22 22
>Jack_Overby: EEGMOPU I8 GEUM +14 14
#note J: I thought I was being all clever and defensive, setting up my P, but this play kind of sucks. I7 MEOU 22 is a much better version of what I was trying to do. Even the standard I5 POME 29 looks better.
>Charles_Reinke: AENORRT H11 ANTRE +22 44
#note C: If I had come up with (M)OR, the most logical fish, I would have played that.
>Jack_Overby: EIIKOPR 6F KO.I +25 39
#note J: Sims just behind J10 PIKI 31. I wanted to bingo.
>Charles_Reinke: ABIOORU G10 OBIA +19 63
>Jack_Overby: CEIPRWZ G5 C.W +21 60
#note J: Another bad play. 7E WIPE 25 is best, to set up a potential 83-point CRAZE at 8A.
>Charles_Reinke: DEIOORU 5I OURIE +12 75
>Jack_Overby: EFIPRTZ 4L PREZ +60 120
#note J: No-brainer.
>Charles_Reinke: ACDLNOY O1 COL.A +48 123
#note J: ZOFTIG for 57 would have been nice. Ah well.
>Jack_Overby: FGIOSST 6L GIFS +42 162
#note J: Another cupcake.
>Charles_Reinke: DENOTVY F8 TOY +27 150
#note C: 8E VOY(AG)ED is neat.
>Jack_Overby: AEOORST 8H ..O +4 166
#note J: Yet another stinker. It looks like plays keeping AERST (14H ROO 5, 8D OOT 4, even Exch. OO) sim best. I guess I overestimated the AEORST leave.
>Charles_Reinke: DDEENOV F12 DOVE +23 173
>Jack_Overby: AEGORST K8 GAROTES +72 238
#note J: Not quite what I was going for, but that works! That way, any bingo from Charles (S/COW) will give me a potent counterplay.
>Charles_Reinke: ADDEINR L9 DENARI +29 202
#note C: Right idea to blow up the rack, but L11 REDID is better.

J: Nice overlap!
>Jack_Overby: ABELNPQ M12 BAP +30 268
#note J: 3% off of 15A ENABLE and M12 NEB 24.
>Charles_Reinke: DEFUUVY -DFUUVY +0 202
#note J: Someone's blank hunting...
>Jack_Overby: AEEILNQ 8D QA. +22 290
#note J: Best, along with N2 LEE 12 (???)
>Charles_Reinke: ??EELNS D7 S.uaLENE +80 282
#note C: Sort of didn't want both blanks at this point. 15A kLEEN(E)x(E)S is nice.

J: How unexpected.
>Jack_Overby: EEIILLN C2 NIELLI +17 307
#note J: Tough play. Given the abysmal pool, I wasn't afraid of bingos. I figured I'd have to outrun him, and this seemed to guarantee me a decent counterplay off of whatever he played. And if I draw the S for SQuaLENE/S, all the better. Not sure if this is right, but it sims best, by almost 2% over the curious N6 FILLE 10.
>Charles_Reinke: AHHINVW 4A VI.W +28 310
#note C: Sims best, but C12 HAW/HAH were tempting.
>Jack_Overby: DEFMRTT C12 DEFT +28 335
#note J: The standard equity play, but it also does everything I want: scores well, keeps one in the bag, blocks the odd column B bingo he might have (e.g. TUNDISH). It's best by over 5% over the curious 15E FETED 9 (to block SQuaLENE/S, I suppose), but I'm still a slight underdog (46%).
>Charles_Reinke: ADHHNUY 2B U.HANDY +32 342
#note J: His chances are bleak here. UNHAND actually gives him a win with an S draw, but everything else looks dead.

C: I calculated that this would win if the M was in the bag, but it actually doesn't if Jack sees X(Y)ST. It didn't occur to me to stop with UNHAND and go for an S.
>Jack_Overby: IMRSTTX 1H MIXT +60 395
#note J: Didn't have to think too hard on this one.
>Charles_Reinke: HU 15A HU. +18 360
>Charles_Reinke: (RST) +6 366
#note J: I felt at the time like I'd played this one pretty well, but in reality, I made a lot of really shaky plays throughout. Fortunately, I was mistake-free the second half, for once! Though admittedly, my plays were all pretty simple. Once again, I'll take it!

After my sixth straight win, I am tied with Thomas at 12-7. So it all comes down to this. Who will epxerience the thrill of victory, and who will be the ski jumper falling off the ramp agony of defeat guy? Stay tuned.
