>Matthew_Larocque: AELLNRW 8G WALL +14 14
>Randall_Thomas: ?CELNPS K2 PENCiLS +78 78
>Matthew_Larocque: AEEINOR G7 O.E +8 22
#note Even though I know that fishing with vowel-heavy leaves often backfires, most of the time it still feels like one of the more reasonable options. Sim results favour L1 AERO for 20.
>Randall_Thomas: ABNU J1 BUNA +18 96
>Matthew_Larocque: AEILNOR F1 AILERON +63 85
>Randall_Thomas: HU 1H HU. +24 120
>Matthew_Larocque: DEIINVY 5B VINE.Y +24 109
#note I debated between VI(AN)D 4H, DIVIN(E) 4A, and this. I missed VINY(L) in two spots, which I would have played instead. I really wanted to play off both the V and the Y. I don't count VINY(L)IDE(NE) as a findable option.
>Randall_Thomas: DDEIOPR B2 PRO.IDED +84 204
>Matthew_Larocque: DIMRSTV A8 MIDST +42 151
#note It feels weird playing off the S this way, and an earlier version of myself would NEVER do this. It came down to the S not being useful on the board, the extra points, and possibly a more balanced rack next turn. The options are all close, but Q prefers D(E)VI the best followed by D(E)V and V(E)RT. Maybe there's enough vowels left to draw.
>Randall_Thomas: AIIO I5 AIO.I +7 211
>Matthew_Larocque: AIORRVW L1 VOW +24 175
#note I(N)VAR/RAVI(N) simulate best, but AIRR could turn into a bingo. I don't really need to keep the W.
>Randall_Thomas: HOO A2 OOH +25 236
>Matthew_Larocque: ?AAIJRR D1 JARI.A +42 217
>Randall_Thomas: EFS 10E EFS +21 257
#note Randall sounded confused here.
>Matthew_Larocque: ?EGNRUX 11C REX +38 255
#note Playing REX just so he can't use the hook if I play EX.
>Randall_Thomas: ATU 1L .ATU +21 278
>Matthew_Larocque: ?FGKNRU D10 K.F +31 286
#note Tossup with K(E)RF says Quackle, maybe because it gives me another letter to play a bingo from?
>Randall_Thomas: EGT M3 TEG +22 300
>Matthew_Larocque: ?AGNRTU 7K .UG +6 292
#note Terrible, I immediately saw OUTRANG, but then doubted if OUTRING was an anagram of TOURING/ROUTING. I also once played *RERANG in a game, so yeah..
>Randall_Thomas: Q 6H Q. +11 311
>Matthew_Larocque: ?AAINRT 13C TsARINA +76 368
#note Perhaps it worked out for the best...
>Randall_Thomas: CDEEIRT N6 RECITED +69 380
#note So, way back when he played EFS, what was going on? NEW was still there with a nice DWS S-hook.
>Matthew_Larocque: EENSTYZ 12I ZESTE. +43 411
#note Really unlucky for Randall that he can't go out, while I have a plethora of winning plays here. This is best by a hair.
>Randall_Thomas: BGMO 14I GOB +21 401
>Matthew_Larocque: NY M11 Y.N +17 428
>Matthew_Larocque: (M) +6 434
