>Steve: BEFILO 8D FOIBLE +30 30
>Carl: ABINORU E5 BOR.NIA +36 36
>Steve: ?EEGIOT H6 TE.EGgIO +59 89
>Steve: ?EEGIOT -- -59 30
>Carl: EISTUUY -UUY +0 36
#note Strictly speaking the correct play is to block ECLOGITE, which I did see. I assumed that Steve wasn't going to find it. (-7?)
>Steve: ?EEGIOT F5 OE +12 42
>Carl: DEILRST 11D L.RDIEST +68 104
>Steve: GHIPT D10 P.IGHT +30 72
>Carl: AHRTUVY 15D .HUYA +33 137
>Steve: ?AEEINS 13C A.ENESIs +70 142
>Carl: ALMORTV D1 VOLTA +29 166
>Steve: CDEI 1D .ICED +33 175
>Carl: ?ACEMRT 1A CRE..... +48 214
#note I was all set up to play REMATCH 4F before this came along. According to Quackle, my play wins about 1% more often. In actuality it's probably a little better because Steve might challenge CREVICED but would never challenge REMATCH. As it turned out, however, everything went to hell after CREVICED, whereas REMATCh probably would have won.
>Steve: I G8 .I +5 180
>Carl: ?AEMTVY A1 .AVY +16 230
#note A very difficult rack. Sim winner is MY 10H. Very surprising given the number of As unseen, but perhaps ?AETV hits bingos more often than ?EMT. (-7)
>Steve: AINQRST J2 QINTARS +100 280
#note You may correctly surmise that Steve drew the Q after fishing-- the best possible tile.
>Carl: ?EMMTUW 4I U.MEW +20 250
#note UW count: 5. MENTUM 4H wins the sim. (-5)
>Steve: DEEGINS L3 D.SIGNEE +61 341
#note A nightmarish development. After the game, Steve lamented that he missed WEEDINGS#, which I would have challenged off. Correct play is SEEDING N4.
>Carl: ?ALMNOT 14I TOlLMAN +75 325
>Steve: FGOORU O8 FOURGO. +39 380
#note I've always wanted to play this word as an out-bingo... so it would be a fourgon conclusion. Get it? Har har har.
>Carl: AEJPWXZ 3I X. +34 359
#note XU 10N wins the sim for some reason. (-3?)
>Steve: KNO M1 KNO. +28 408
>Carl: AEJPRWZ 1K JA.ER +51 410
#note I wasn't sure about this play, but figured it might draw a challenge and win somehow. Turns it it is good. If challenged, the right sequence is WOE F4, followed by ZIPS H10 or ZEP K9.
>Steve: ADETU 3A .AU.TED +26 434
#note While Steve really thought that JAKER was phony, he is no fool. He wisely sealed the win.
>Steve: (PWZ) +34 468
