#note Sometimes the right play is counterintuitive. I'm glad I saw this.
>Ed: OOU E2 OU.O +26 232
>Carl: CEIOSTY H1 COYS +47 256
#note Patience is a virtue. I thought about F1 OY but figured I'd been putzing around with these bingo letters for too long without hitting. (-6) Also: scored as 44. (-3)
>Ed: DEILO 1H .OILED +10 242
>Carl: AEHIMTV 6H .HIVA +13 269
#note This was a weird play. For whatever reason, I got the impression that Ed had the blank on his rack when he played COILED, and I wanted to take out lanes. Maybe he took a long time playing? Or maybe I realized that a bingo on Columns J-M would be very difficult to respond to and sought to minimize that possibility. In any event, MHO F2 wins the sim. (-18?)
>Ed: III -III +0 242
>Carl: DEEMNQT E7 Q. +11 280
#note METED 7F is best. (-19)
>Ed: DI F1 ID +14 256
>Carl: ADEEMNT 2J TAMED +33 313
#note NAMED wins the sim by a little bit.
>Ed: BEE 3K BEE +28 284
>Carl: CEMNRRV L5 V.REC +11 324
#note Quackle empties the bag with CARVER. I can sort of see that. If he bingos, I'm toast, so don't give him one more turn to do it. On the other hand, he's more likely to bingo after CARVER. Also, Quackle is giving him credit for a random rack when he's probably been building toward something. (-3?).
>Ed: P M1 ...P +7 291
>Carl: EGHIMNR 8J GI.N +5 329
#note I can plainly see that he has hEIRING 14I. I just have to sit there for five minutes of terror and hope that he misses it, while trying not to let on with my body language that I'm about to lose.
>Ed: ?EGIINR 12K IRING +21 312
#note The nightmare subsides; crisis averted.
>Carl: EHMR M11 H.M +16 345
#note I thought I needed to block USURPEd, but it's actually not that much more than something like SHIVAS, SEN. Consequently, HAME 10G wins the sim. (-7)
>Ed: ?E 7G E.a +10 322
