>Wendy_McGrath: AAJR 8F AJAR +22 22
>Matthew_Larocque: CINOPTU 9C PUNTO +23 23
#note I didn't know the safer PUTON. Q also likes fishing off UP keeping IOCNT.
>Wendy_McGrath: OWY 10G YOW +22 44
>Matthew_Larocque: CEGIILU E9 .UCLEI +16 39
#note This was hard, I didn't know (P)ICUL. Also didn't like the leave of ICG after LIEU. ECU keeping IIGL makes me go ugh, too.
>Wendy_McGrath: AEUX 8A EAUX +78 122
#note At least it wasn't FLUX?
>Matthew_Larocque: AGIMNOQ F7 Q.. +12 51
#note Just dumping the Q sims a little better than QI for 23. I'll just tell you now that I don't know the hook on NUCLEI.
>Wendy_McGrath: ADIIO 11I OIDIA +17 139
>Matthew_Larocque: AGIMNOZ 10A AZO +37 88
#note Yeah. And just ZO(A) is better too.
>Wendy_McGrath: BILOW 12C BI.LOW +30 169
>Matthew_Larocque: GIMNSTY L6 STIMY.NG +80 168
#note Proud of myself for this one, though. Even ING bingos are tough for me with the cursed Y. The only other 8 with this rack is... STYMYING. There's 126 eights with two Ys. Somehow that's way more than I thought.
>Wendy_McGrath: EIP H12 .IPE +27 196
>Matthew_Larocque: EEFGKOU F14 FE +26 194
#note Hard to get turnover, and the only other play that scores better is GEEK K5 which I saw. FE is barely on Q's radar. For some reason I thought getting rid of both Es was bad, while overrating how good the K is to hang onto. FUG(I)O 14B keeping EEK also sims highly.
>Wendy_McGrath: ILLV 8K V.LLI +24 220
>Matthew_Larocque: EGKNORU A10 .ERUGO +24 218
>Wendy_McGrath: ACEMRST O6 SC.METAR +63 283
#note Lol, I held, because I couldn't remember at all if you could spell this more than one way. I was sure I'd seen it spelled differently, but she played this like she knew it was a word. And really, I ought to know these eights...
>Matthew_Larocque: EIKNNNR D12 .NK +19 237
#note I didn't like where I was now, at all, but both blanks are unseen. Sims a couple notches below J9 RE(I)NK, probably because there's still 5 Es, and to try and get a blank.
>Wendy_McGrath: AAEGT N2 AGATE +20 303
>Matthew_Larocque: DEINNRS 15H .NDRINES +80 317
#note That open G is nice, but I doubt I get another chance at it if I fish this turn. I wasn't sure about RENDIN(G), so I figured if I was going to try a word I wasn't sure of, might as well try a bingo.
>Wendy_McGrath: BOR O1 BRO +20 323
#note Wendy quickly accepts, so she must have a good rack. She sure seemed like she was confident at this point.
>Matthew_Larocque: DEEHHRV 13G H.VE +27 344
#note I missed a cool play here for 41.
>Wendy_McGrath: ?ADENTT A1 ATTENDe. +77 400
#note There it is.
>Matthew_Larocque: ?DEEFHR M2 FEH +37 381
#note What's the only way Wendy can lose this game? And challenging FEH doesn't count.
>Wendy_McGrath: IOS L3 SO +21 421
>Wendy_McGrath: IOS -- -21 400
>Matthew_Larocque: ?DER B1 ReED +17 398
#note I only have about 7 seconds here. I know I'm supposed to write the blank down, and if I don't she can hit the timer back to me. However, she never wrote down her blank. I didn't say anything because I'm not really anal about it, so I just hoped Wendy didn't care either. I got the play down with 1 second left.
>Matthew_Larocque: (IOS) +6 404
#note Score was upheld on the recount. Hate to win like this, but having a good tournament often involves stealing a game or two. You take what you can get!
