Player 1
#player1 Josh Josh
#player2 Norma Norma
>Josh: ADEINTV H2 DEVIANT +80 80
#note this takes an S
>Norma: EEGNORT 7E ROE.TGEN +61 61
>Josh: AEGHISU 8L AUGH +30 110
>Norma: AAIIIOT -AIIIO +0 61
#note she said this was her rack, she should have gone with 2F OI(D)IA if that's the case
>Josh: CEINPSY 2H .YSPNEIC +86 196
#note really surprised myself by finding this the moment I looked through the D. Unfortunately this meant misscoring my play as 84 rather than 86.
>Norma: AJT 6D TAJ +53 114
>Josh: BGLMPRW K5 PL.W +30 226
#note BL(E)W has the highest equity by 1.2 points but I thought BGMR was more synergic. Interestingly enough, GR(E)W for 2 less and significantly worse face value sims highest here. This is likely because I will be using two of BMP next turn to make up for the lost points. Also this is clocked as entry #4596 in the log of how awful the G is. BL(E)W, which was actually my initial instinct, is one point ahead of PL(E)W according to Quackle, whom I trust with my life.
>Norma: ?EEINSX 9B INdEXES +77 191
#note she almost played (U)NISEXEs M8, but missed (U)NSEXIEr which is probably the best M8 play. In reality, she had a crazy overlap in 8A EXIStEN(T) that maybe 3 players in the field would have seen. That's 109 points.
>Josh: ABGIMRU 3B UMBRAG. +28 254
#note I hate leaving a lone I on my rack, so I hesitated when laying this down. I then gave up on the position and missed E3 BIG(AR)R(E)AU, which Mack would have seen but only because he had recently studied it. I should have seen it. What a tournament it would have been if I had. Excitement is the number one factor in how I react to a tournament's results. Huge equity blunder here
>Norma: EFHOQRY O1 O.ULEI +27 218
>Norma: EFHOQRY -- -27 191
#note I get so upset when this happens to Norma (it happens usually once every game or two), because if it weren't for her inconsistencies, she would be a consistent player. If tournaments were run in VOID challenge she would probably be rated at least 1650.
>Josh: AADEIOU 5A AUDIO +20 274
#note She is probably intent on playing 5A LOUIE at this point, but I still proceed to miss O1 A(C)EDIA which might be better anyway. She is unlikely to play O(C)ULI given her last move.
>Norma: EFILOU 8A FOU +22 213
>Josh: AEEHOOR O1 O.HE +30 304
#note I talk myself out of O(C)HREA which was a "come on" moment, although this might end up working out better for me. I also failed to sneeze.
>Norma: IIL 5K .ILI +6 219
>Josh: ADEORST N8 .OD +9 313
>Norma: CEOO 10J COOE. +14 233
#note she also protects spread very well even if it means giving up on the game.
>Josh: AEINRST 4C AR +22 335
#note I don't think there is any one player that has had an unplayable AEINRST more often than I have.
>Norma: DIM 10E MID +26 259
>Josh: EILNSTW 11B WILES +36 371
#note I should probably just continue with (O)WL but at this point the game isn't as comfortably won as it was when I played (G)OD, since she could bingo on row 13, fail to give me a spot or I could miss my fish. In that case she might be giving herself a chance by opening a scoring spot that I can't really utilize, which could also in turn give her bingo number 2.
>Norma: Z F2 Z. +31 290
>Josh: AEKNRTT 4L TAK. +28 399
#note I've been changing things up a bit keeping the extra E on leaves like RNT and sacrificing around 6-7 points by doing so. In this case I was also not wanting to open things up as much with KETA 12A and also understanding the lack of vowels in the pool.
>Norma: OT 9M T.O +13 303
>Josh: ELNNRTV M1 V.N.. +16 415
#note keeping an E helps. I guess C8 (UN)R(I)VET works too, not too risky.
>Norma: AABEFRY K10 .BE +10 313
>Josh: ELNRRTY 12I RE.NTRY +28 443
#note I jumped on this and never realized that I would indeed get stuck with the Q if I drew it and she blocked Q(I) G5. I had been planning on keeping the T for Q(A)T. But she let me know that she drew it as she has difficulty keeping complaint-worthy things to herself
>Norma: ?AEIQRS 13E QuARE +18 331
#note missing the cute B2 Q(U)e(U)E which I saw for her but kept to myself :D -10
>Josh: AFL 6N FA +31 474
>Norma: IS D11 .IS +20 351
>Norma: (L) +2 353
#note there is only one Li.
