>Jason: IIII -IIII +0 0
>Mack: ??DIINT H4 DIgNITy +66 66
#note Didn't want to waste too much time here, this looks fine.
>Jason: AQT G3 QAT +27 27
>Mack: HHIMORT G8 HIM +20 86
#note Like keeping things tight here with a lead, didn't see MYTHOI but I like this better anyway.
>Jason: EGNSSV 5D VES..NGS +48 75
>Mack: AEHIORT F5 .HOAT +25 111
#note Preferred this over HAVIOR to give less back - Quackle agrees.
>Jason: FNOU J2 FUN.O +19 94
>Mack: EIIIIRY -IIIIY +0 111
#note Not exactly the draw IIII was hoping for.
>Jason: ADEK 2J .AKED +26 120
>Mack: EJOORRR L2 .OR +14 125
#note Setting up J(U)R(O)R next turn. It gets blocked reasonably often, but other options like ROVER are pretty unappealing so it seemed worth a shot. Plus, M1 plays often still allow JUROR to play and Jason may interpret KOR as a fish and try to play more bingo defense on the left side of the board and leave JUROR alone.
>Jason: EPY 1M YEP +32 152
>Mack: BEJORRW 3I J.R.R +54 179
>Jason: IIIII -IIIII +0 152
>Mack: ABDEOOW D4 A.OWED +28 207
#note Seems reasonable after an exchange 5, since he's pretty unlikely to have a bingo. Also thought about AVOW to make bingoing a little harder but a big play like ZEPS/AVOWS seemed just as likely. Perhaps I should've just dropped my W at 7G and forced Jason to bingo with WHIMS.
>Jason: EEINPRR C8 RIPENER +76 228
>Mack: BEIIOOW 14B O.IBI +18 225
#note Didn't like WINO keeping BEIO at all, and row 15 isn't that easy for Jason to hit big, so this seemed fine.
>Jason: FILUZ 15F FUZIL +56 284
>Mack: EENOOUW -EOOUW +0 225
#note Hated scoring zero points next turn, but I need to bingo, and quickly, which exchanging gives me the best chance at doing. B10 OWE lets Jason put the game out of reach too easily, and 12B ENOW blocks too much and scores too little and keeps too vowel-heavy a leave to justify only 14 points.
>Jason: AGIM 14I MAGI +17 301
>Mack: EGLNNOT 15L TONG +21 246
#note Feeling like I need to play this and draw the last I for a big ING bingo to win at this point.
>Jason: ESTV 15A VEST +39 340
>Mack: EILNSUW 8A WE.. +21 267
#note Now down by 94, I'm definitely going to need a huge -ING bingo to win (bingoing twice is not happening with this board and pool, and outscoring Jason with one 70ish-point bingo seems hopeless). My first instinct was to drop the W at G7 but that never hits an -ING bingo and doesn't even hit other bingos that often, plus the lower-scoring bingos like (N)UCLEINS basically always lose anyway. So I figured I'd play WERE and try to distract Jason with the lanes on the left side while trying to draw something like SULLYING on the right.
>Jason: AACLU 12A CA.ULA +22 362
>Mack: DILLNSU B6 DU.L +13 280
#note C1 DULL will simply be outscored even with a big -ING bingo, so I felt I need to play DUEL and hope Jason is overloaded with vowels and has to play for cheap and I draw something and eke it out in the endgame.
>Jason: COO N12 COO. +12 374
>Mack: AEEILNS 12H SALIEN.E +74 354
#note I knew this would never win, but there's no reason not to just bingo now since nothing I can fish for will score nearly enough with the G blocked.
>Jason: ABERTXY 11I TAX +42 416
>Mack: E E11 E. +4 358
#note Congrats Jason, two great games to close out the tournament!
>Mack: (EBRY) +18 376
