>Jim_Burlant: ADENQSU 8D QUEAN +48 48
>Chris_Schneider: AINOU D8 .UINOA +30 30
>Jim_Burlant: DJLMSVX 13C J.M +24 72
#note Had a tough time deciding between VELD, G7 JAM for 1 less point, this, or exchanging. The upside to the G7 placement was that it leaves QUINOA back hooks alive, but I also thought 13C plays could hurt if I didn't take them out. Approaching 2000 iterations a sim can't distinguish between this choice and G7 JAM as the best choice.
>Chris_Schneider: EOW 11C E.OW +14 44
>Jim_Burlant: CDLSUVX 9G XU +36 108
#note Almost played CLAVUS G6 and changed my mind when I saw this. If the S hook on QUEAN wasn't there, I might have gone with CLAVUS. But I thought the QUEAN back hook justified keeping my S.
>Chris_Schneider: AE 10F AE +21 65
>Jim_Burlant: BCDLSVV -BCLVV +0 108
#note Yuck. Enough of this crap! Maybe exchange 6 keeping the S? Best is apparently to exchange BDLVV and keep CS.
>Chris_Schneider: LOOS 14A LOOS +33 98
>Jim_Burlant: DEFHIPS A12 HE.P +39 147
#note Don't know why I couldn't think of PELF. Even though a sim thinks this is very strong, PELF is clearly better due to leave. The only surprise to me is that this is barely a 0.4-point dog in a sim.
>Chris_Schneider: O 12A .O +5 103
>Jim_Burlant: DEFGIIS F6 FI. +14 161
>Chris_Schneider: OOP E4 POO +15 118
>Jim_Burlant: DDEGINS -D +0 161
#note Another frustrating position. I knew SPEDDING* wouldn't fly, DO 5D didn't appeal to me, and it never even occurred to me to play off the S for 23 with GIDS/DIGS/etc down the I column. A sim indicates this position is entirely a matter of style preference. My choice of exchanging the D sims with the highest equity, and the top 4 choices (the I aforementioned I column plays and my play) all win within 0.25% of each other atop the sim.
>Chris_Schneider: ACEGINS I2 INCAGES +77 195
>Jim_Burlant: DEEGINS 4G SE.EDING +76 237
#note Only bingo. 68% to win.
>Chris_Schneider: OTY D3 TOY +25 220
>Jim_Burlant: ?BDERTV 2H V.BRaTED +88 325
#note Almost missed this; I initially saw OBVERTED before I finally looked at the I. The only other bingo is the same word down the L column for 24 fewer points. This is best.
>Chris_Schneider: AEHT 1L HATE +54 274
>Jim_Burlant: AADIIKR C2 DAK +29 354
#note Best play here is pretty slick: IVIED H1. This is next best, but it's a much weaker play, primarily because it concedes 3 scoreboard points but, more importantly, leaves me with duplicated I's. IVIED H1 is definitely best.
>Chris_Schneider: TT 5H T.T +7 281
>Jim_Burlant: AEIIIRS K2 .I.E +18 372
#note No really good options here. A sim indicates it's eitehr K4 DEAIR, RIDER, or this. Not sure I like RIDER here; perhaps the duck wants me to turn the extra tile so I can chase the blank?
>Chris_Schneider: LM 9C L.M +10 291
>Jim_Burlant: AIILNRS 15A .I +6 378
#note No really good options. Best looks to be the slick 6I GARNI, which I never recognized. Q also likes 6I RIAL - not sure I do, even if I do have the case S. Then again, since I can't defend row 12, perhaps RIAL isn't as bad as I think? Gotta see GARNI next time.
>Chris_Schneider: AFILR B6 FILAR +24 315
>Jim_Burlant: AILNNRS A5 NIL +10 388
#note It's either this word here are at B1. Still in excellent shape, 94% to win.
>Chris_Schneider: ACW B1 CAW +28 343
>Jim_Burlant: ?AGNRSY N4 .RAYiNGS +68 456
#note I honestly thought this was good...it's not. Fortunately, this wasn't even held. What's amusing is that the bingo is not best here; apparently, I should fish off the G with PIG/JOG for 17.
>Chris_Schneider: DEIRRTU O6 RED +25 368
>Jim_Burlant: BERVZ 11J VERB. +20 476
>Chris_Schneider: IRTU M11 .RUIT +14 382
>Chris_Schneider: (Z) +20 402
#note Chris went over on time. Final score 476 - 394.
