>Michael_Fagen: JNU E3 JUN +24 38
>Josh: AABEFLP 7E P.BAL +26 64
#note maybe PILAF is better, but this worked out a lot better for me. sort of
>Michael_Fagen: MOP D4 MOP +25 63
>Josh: AEFLTWY C2 WYE +23 87
#note I missed 9D WA(I)T, which looks pretty good here. I wasn't too thrilled with this, although I didn't need to keep an E, with 11 to come. (J)EW is also suggested by the engine, that looks pretty weird but it sets me up nicely for next turn with FATLY. This is not the right play.
>Michael_Fagen: CERSTTU 6B CU. +13 76
#note Michael not only didn't know if PIBAL took an S, but he also didn't know SCUTTER. He was worried I had an S at this stage, but unfortunately I was unable to capitalize on his mistake. This is a big one, around 40 points worse than J2 CURTEST.
>Josh: AFHILOT 9D FA.TH +34 121
#note Perhaps I should have been trying to block SCUP a little with 2A HO(W)F or HAO, or just setting up counterplay with HOWF, and retaining a more bingo-prone leave. But this was a lot of points and there seemed to be no guarantee Michael had something, especially given that I thought he would pluralize PIBAL, but I should know that he will do everything he can not to have to pluralize a word I played that he is unfamiliar with. Given his actual rack this is a decent mistake of around 8 points. HAO was my play.
>Michael_Fagen: AEERSTT A2 RETASTE +82 158
>Josh: BEIILNO F1 BIO +16 137
#note ugh, what else can I even do? B1 BO is 4 more but keeps another I. That probably works out better for me in hindsight
>Michael_Fagen: EE 1F .EE +15 173
>Josh: AEGILNR B8 REALIGN +72 209
#note I almost played REGINAL but was not even 100%. It's 4 more points. Silly, although this worked out better for me. sort of. Given Michael's actual rack, this is merely a 4-point mistake
>Michael_Fagen: EIMRSTU 2H MUSTIER +76 249
>Josh: ADDEHQV L1 H.VED +32 241
#note I actually did some estimative math here and concluded that H(I)VED was a few points better than HAED. Quackle says they're even but that HIVED has a much higher win%, so not sure what to make of that result. I'll remain steadfast in believing this is a better play. Getting rid of the V and going for an outside shot of QAID or QAiD with 4 of the remaining tiles unseen. It's a longshot, but I can fish again next turn if need be, so the recursion is there as well. Otherwise, 1L HAED is better even though one point less, because the L1 spot is easier for Michael to hit and I am therefore also more likely to be able to drop my Q next turn if I take the easier-to-hit spot.
>Michael_Fagen: EY G3 YE +26 275
>Josh: ADGGQRZ K4 RAGG +20 261
#note An unfortunate continuation play after a bad draw, I'm now left hoping for an A and an I or a blank and either, or AZIDO or AZIDE hooking (RAGG)A, or just a way to score and balance my rack within the next few turns. Michael's last play not playing at K4 was sounding alarm bells for me, worried about his range here but nothing I can really do.
>Michael_Fagen: NOO C12 NOO +16 291
>Josh: DELNQVZ -DLNQV +0 261
#note This was really bad, another crushing draw. I have to sacrifice 48 points for LEZ to get rid of the Q now and go for a blank.
>Michael_Fagen: AA B1 AA +16 307
>Josh: ?DEFRWZ A10 FEZ +54 315
>Michael_Fagen: ELNNSTU N1 T.UNNELS +60 367
>Josh: ?DORRSW D12 SORD +47 362
#note Quackle LOVES I9 SWORD. It maximizes my bingo chances, and that's more important than the points. I'm really not winning this game very often even if I'm tying the game up and leaving two in the bag. He has too much firepower, even if he has the Q. If I leave two in the bag and he plays QI(S) it's probably a coin flip at best for me. So I need to try and bingo, and SWORD is the best way to do that. Unfortunately, I was drawing dead.
>Michael_Fagen: ?DEIKOT 8L DI.K +33 400
#note this is a good play but O8 OD wins a sim. odd
>Josh: ?ALNQRW I1 s.Q +26 388
>Michael_Fagen: ?EIOTV 15D .EVOuT +27 427
#note go out with soviet
>Josh: ALNRW L8 .RAWL +18 406
