>Burl: ?HIISTV 5E THI.VISh +102 102
#note After nearly 3 minutes, I find it. Other bingo options are SHIVITi G8, and SHIVITIs 10A. This is best.
>Ave: ADMNRVX J2 VAR.X +39 113
>Burl: AAABEUY 4A ABAYA +24 126
#note The only other placement of this word is G8, which slots an A at G12 - way too dangerous IMO. I never considered ABYE G7, but a sim doesn't think there's much difference. I'm fine with this.
>Ave: DGLMNNT C2 GL.ND +14 127
>Burl: EEOTUWZ A1 ZOE. +39 165
#note Play the other E for 42 instead of keeping it for 3 less? That's the only decision here. Q feels I should turn the extra tile; with UW in my rack I'd rather keep as much of it together to offset the negativity of the UW.
>Ave: IMNPRTY 3I P.YNIM +32 159
#note I was under the impression this didn't take an S. It's a synonym of PAGAN, so it does. Oops. Burl thinks this a good play though, so I'll take what I can get.
>Burl: EELNTUW G9 WEN +21 186
#note N1 UNMEW is definitely better from the perspective of the rack...but that vowel placement at O4 scared me off. The U obviously isn't a prize as far as leaves go, but in conjunction with LET it's tolerable. If I had this turn to do again, UNSEW 10F. Too bad I never saw it during the game (all I saw was UNWETS for chump change).
>Ave: AEERRTU F7 URETER +21 180
#note Ugh - this is the kind of play that exemplifies why I can't improve at Scrabble. Just take URATE.
>Burl: EELOOTU 8A LOOTE. +21 207
#note Or 2L OLEO. I've been treading water pretty much since we traded bingoes. Just shy of 51% to win.
>Ave: ?AAELUU 2L ULU +18 198
#note Whoops, I autopiloted and missed EAU in the same spot. Not a great time for that to happen. Six point mistake.
>Burl: AEEKLTU E10 AKEE +36 243
#note Right idea, wrong execution. UKE E10 scores 34 and leaves a much more promising AELT. Why do I keep missing the U front hooks on TA and TE?
>Ave: ?AACCEI A6 CA.CAnEI +62 260
#note The other 4 eights in this rack are also hard. I found 2 of them during the game. This is my only playable one.
>Burl: DGJLOTU B10 GOD +20 263
#note No Quackle, not GOLD. But maybe GUL or GUT instead. But now I'm in trouble. Avery's bingo had him at 53% to win. My best choice here wins 33%, and I'm sacrificing 2 or 3% with this choice. Don't know why I didn't think of GUT or GUL.

A: GOLD makes row 15 a lot harder to hit. Who cares if I can put an S at 14B? It's not scoring that much ultimately.
>Ave: DEINQST 3E QI +23 283
#note With the board shaping up the way it has and me being unaware that PAYNIMS is good, I would rather not provide the opportunity for him to score 40+ and give me little counterplay. QI at D1 allows that to happen if he lands QAIDS or something, so I think this is worth the 1-point sacrifice. There's no X or anything that can bite me at 2F.
>Burl: DGJLTUW 12D W..T +21 284
#note I've been fighting hard, but haven't always helped myself with some of my B- choices. But these draws aren't helping, either. I considered exchanging, but to what end? The board is dead, and the pool doesn't look very good. So I might as well play through and put points on the board. This is best, but it's getting worse - 27% to win.
>Ave: DEFNSST I7 EFS +24 307
#note The case S is nice to see here, since I have the AKEES hook. It would be even stronger if I knew column O was accessible. It would also be better if I stopped making suboptimal plays. I did not notice that my S could go at F4, making plays like FISH and DISH extremely strong here. A poor effort here.
>Burl: DGHJLRU L1 J.. +18 302
#note I saw HUG 2F, but with AMNN still unseen, I thought HUG could potentially lose the game for me. I didn't think the pool looked good, so I didn't think exchanging was worthwhile, especially if he had the S. Then I saw this. I think I've got to take points if I'm going to have a chance so scoring is the motif. 25% to win.
>Ave: DINOPST N1 D.. +6 313
#note When Kevin had SPINTO come up in a game, he wasn't sure of it. I saw it here but I didn't notice the spot - scores 47 at O3. I guess that's one benefit of having studied the 6s for this tournament. However, I thought this hit a lot more than it actually does. I believe I was also around 6 minutes after this play, and I didn't want to go into a pre-endgame and endgame on this board with no time on my clock. Just a bad play, but CP still has it in its suggestions. Not that that means much though.
>Burl: DGHLRTU 2F HUG +28 330
#note Now I've got no choice. Crossing fingers he doesn't have AM in his rack.
>Ave: IINOPST 9C PI +16 329
#note Needing something to happen here.
>Burl: ADEFLRT 13C FE. +17 347
#note Defense. I'm not expecting him to bingo with this pool, so I'm simply trying to prevent 14B plays for 20+ while I hopefully cash in at 1H for 20 and a close win. Quackle is irrelevant here, as it wants me play ADO B6 for 17.

A: I'm not seeing any places Quackle is suggesting ADO. CP's suggestion of 6L ELF seems fine. I don't have a lot of bingos on row 14, and it's unlikely I'd have the letters for MONSOON after PI. So realistically, it's likely only TORSION that's going there. My nonbingo plays don't score much there either, and I also wasn't likely keeping the M last turn. This could have cost me badly.
>Ave: INOORST L5 .ORNITOS +66 395
>Burl: ADILORT M10 AROID +18 365
#note TIDAL K9 scores 24, and IDOL K10 leaves me outs all over the place and loses by a lot less, but whatever. This was just heartbreak.

A: Glad he didn't see the better plays last turn. Lucky to escape this one with some really weak plays on my part.
