#player1 Jim_Burlant Jim Burlant
#player2 Chris_Cree Chris Cree
>Jim_Burlant: CEELLSY 8H LYE +12 12
#note Not sure why I couldn't think of YELL, or LYCEE, as either of them is clearly better. 8H LYCEE should have been the play.
>Chris_Cree: ADGIINT J6 ID.ATING +64 64
>Jim_Burlant: CEGILPS 11I P.G +12 24
#note Right idea, wrong execution. CIG is slightly better. 34% to win.
>Chris_Cree: AQT K4 QAT +26 90
>Jim_Burlant: CEHILSU L2 CHI +38 62
#note You gotta know it to play it. CULSHIE scores 87 at L8. That doesn't excuse mising CLIQUE on row 4, though. CULSHIE would have made this a deuce game. Instead I'm 33% to win.
>Chris_Cree: IJ 12H JI. +22 112
>Jim_Burlant: EELNNSU H12 .EES +33 95
#note I couldn't convince myself that I should let the J go unmolested for the sake of a much better leave with a play like 2J UNCLE. Q indicates I should just play UNCLE and accept that he's going to extend the J, and I see why: besides the better leave (ENS of UNCLE instead of LNNU with JEES), I keep an N so I can play on row 1.
>Chris_Cree: ?EEIKNO 15D KErO.INE +66 178
#note Or NOSELIKE 15F for the same points. Had I played UNCLE, he'd have probably played JOKE for 45 and kept EIN?.
>Jim_Burlant: LNNPRTU D11 PLUN. +22 117
#note Wow, I got one play right.
>Chris_Cree: O 3L .O +10 188
>Jim_Burlant: EHINRTW N3 WRITHEN +74 191
#note Only bingo. Back in the game, but his last play had me nervous...and with good reason.
>Chris_Cree: ?ACEILO O7 ALOEtIC +90 278
>Jim_Burlant: DEFORTV O1 DEF +34 225
#note Best, but it's bleak - 7% to win.
>Chris_Cree: AITV E8 VITA +22 300
>Jim_Burlant: DMOORTV 14B MO.DO +26 251
#note This is my highest scoring play, but I'm probably better off playing 13B OVUM. REgardless, this is all pretty bleak.
>Chris_Cree: BY 15A BY +28 328
>Jim_Burlant: EMORTVW 14K WOVE +25 276
#note Or I3 VROW. VROW looks especially good since It will open up bingo lines.
>Chris_Cree: ADL F9 DAL +18 346
>Jim_Burlant: EGMRRTU H4 GRUE. +8 284
#note Not time to tip my king over, but not far from it. Best is apparently B11 RUMMY. Looks good.
>Chris_Cree: ARSTZ L7 TZARS +31 377
>Jim_Burlant: MNNRSTX -MNNRT +0 284
#note I thought I would turn 5 and go for one of IUU so I could play at 15N with XI or XU. While I've played beyond horribly to this point, it tells you a lot about the kind of tournament I was having that out of this tile bag, I had more than a 75% chance of landing IUU...and whiffed.
>Chris_Cree: ABIRRUU -4 +0 377
>Jim_Burlant: ABEFRSX 5E BEA. +12 296
#note Lame X setup, but in reality hoping for the I or one of the U's.
>Chris_Cree: MO 6E OM +24 401
>Jim_Burlant: AFNRSTX 5M F.X +13 309
#note Annotation stops here: final score 434 - 342, Chris's win. I sure played like crap.
#rack2 AENRSUU
