#note keeping a Z is 4 points better than exchanging everything, per Q!
>CBB: ADEPRTU 8C UPRATED +76 76
>JD: ABPSSSZ C7 Z.PAS +29 29
#note I think I literally spent 7 minutes trying to figure out whether to play ZUPAS or BAPUS trying to set up the Z. not the best use of my time, since I have to luck into an A or O draw just to use the spot, and given how much time I wasted he will undoubtedly sniff out the attempted setup. Q loves ZAP or SPAZ on a sim, but there's no way I'm going to make Conrad's job easier like that in this situation.
>CBB: AGIO D5 IGA.O +23 99
>JD: BEINSST 10B B.SSINET +77 106
>CBB: OOW E4 WOO +19 118
>JD: ?AEEOUW 7G AWEE +21 127
#note I was happy to set this up because I didn't know if he'd have the confidence to play the AWEEL# hook himself. But OU? has the chance to go wrong - my bingo % next turn is only 42%. With the aid of Q, I think WOE at 9H looks awesome - it takes away about half of Conrad's bingo and still lets me bingo 40% next turn.
>CBB: AHIINT 11F TAHINI +29 147
>JD: ?DLNOUY K2 rOUNDLY +78 205
#note interesting that ROUNDLY sims so much better than WOUNDILY - seems like after WOUNDILY there's only one hotspot on the board (which he will likely take), whereas ROUNDLY leaves a couple of decent scoring spots.
>CBB: ?AEEMOT 2G MOdE.ATE +70 217
>JD: AADEEOV 1D EAVED +43 248
#note even game!
>CBB: BEIT 1L BITE +38 255
>JD: AOOORRU B10 .UROO +16 264
>CBB: CFGIL 4J F.LGIC +30 285
>CBB: CFGIL -- -30 255
#note lucky break
>JD: AGORRXY 2B XRAY +35 299
#note pretty weak play - given his rack he's probably playing GIF at A1 next turn, so might as well play GOX at A13 and save ARY at C13 for next turn as a guaranteed score.
>CBB: CFGIL A13 GIF +26 281
>JD: DEEFGOR 8K .FERE +45 344
>CBB: CILV K10 C.VIL +10 291
#note he and I both weren't sure if it took the S (it does), but he was certain to try it if he had the chance!
>JD: DEGJMNO 13I JO.NED +44 388
#note there's some potential for this to go catastrophically wrong since there are only 4 vowels unseen, so perhaps it would've been safer to drop JO at 1A this turn - but at the same time, CIVIL doesn't imply that he has the S yet (just that he would love to draw it) so JOINED does give me a better chance of defusing that spot by drawing it myself. I could also draw the Q, which is a nice tile here with the U open on row 4 and can help me outrun 100-point bingos.
>CBB: HIN 14M HIN +23 314
>JD: AGKMRSU 4K .G +6 394
#note I'm in control because I pulled the S and the vowels. this play is less effective than I thought because I didn't spot CINQ, but I think it's still actually best even though it doesn't show up in championship player - I get a (highly unlikely) free shot at RUMAKIS, if I draw UNMAKERS he has to sacrifice a lot to block and probably eat the Q, and if I draw the U myself I can try QUARKS/CIVILS or play QUAKE as a backup.
>CBB: CILNQRT 10K .INQ +35 349
>JD: AKLMRSU 15N MU +24 418
#note I think I was low on time, else I should've seen VUM/UN/MEH for 4 more.
>CBB: CLRT J1 C.LT +12 361
>JD: AKLRS O5 LAK.RS +26 444
#note wasn't sure enough about CIVILS to try it here for 12 extra points only.
>JD: (R) +2 446
