>JD: AEEIRTU 8G AUE +6 6
#note normally I would exchange here - no idea why I didn't
>Chris_Tallman: ?BDEIIS 9F BIrDIES +71 71
>JD: AEFIRTT 7I FATTIER +76 82
#note FETERITA not opening the TWS is a little better
>Chris_Tallman: BFO O5 FO.B +27 98
#note MAILSACKS did not cross my mind!! I made this play because I felt that Chris wouldn't know MAIKO (he just switched from TWL).
>JD: ?CKLMSS G7 M..K +13 95
#note I played this in part because I didn't think Chris would know MAIKO (he mentioned before the game that he'd just started playing CSW). Q prefers just playing the M at N6, but the best play is the excellent MAILSACKS through AI!!
>Chris_Tallman: DEER N4 RED. +21 119
>JD: ?CILPSS K7 .I.CLaSPS +74 169
#note humm, why did I miss SPLICES? no idea lol
>Chris_Tallman: AHLP 15H PLA.H +42 161
>JD: GGILMRW 12I GL.M +12 181
#note chickened out of WIGGA
>Chris_Tallman: ADEGJ F3 GADJE +34 195
>JD: GIIORWZ E4 ZO +39 220
#note scored incorrectly as 37
>Chris_Tallman: EOT 10E TO.E +18 213
>JD: GIINRSW 4D I..R +26 246
#note he blocked WIRINGS! failing that, I wanted to play IZAR first to set up a possible bingo if I draw it - PLASHING seemed unlikely to be taken right away.
>Chris_Tallman: AEGNT 3E A.ENT +23 236
>JD: DGINSTW 15H .....ING +42 288
#note again, a waiting play - taking the easiest points and holding the D for IZARD and WAND/WEND/WIND
>Chris_Tallman: EXY 11D YEX +42 278
>JD: DINOSTW C4 SITDOWN +81 369
>JD: DINOSTW -- -81 288
#note sweet, it worked, I have WIND for 47. hey...what...*hands start moving tiles to other part of board*
>Chris_Tallman: OY H1 YO. +18 296
#note I didn't think he would know IZARD, but evidently he did. Chris had already gotten really low on time so I was hoping to pressure him the rest of the way.
>JD: DINOSTW 12C DOW +30 318
#note the pool is ugly enough that Q loves pushing the issue and playing INDOW at 12A. Actually, I like that too in retrospect because it makes it harder for him to key in on the SIZAR spot to block.
>Chris_Tallman: EQRU 1D QUER. +27 323
>JD: AAIINST 2C AI +13 331
#note missed a golden chance to play AI at 13H setting up ASP!!! I was too low on time to find this. wish I'd seen it.
>Chris_Tallman: CIT B2 TIC +16 339
>JD: AEINOST 13C ON +16 347
#note setting up a YONI overlap that he can't block - still in good shape, right? I was actually pretty happy to come it with this play although obviously it wouldn't have been necessary if I'd made the right play last move. I'm about 45% to draw a bingo.
>Chris_Tallman: AHNW M2 HWAN +28 367
>JD: AEIOSTU 14N OU +11 358
#note uh...let's try again...still 45% to draw a bingo.
>Chris_Tallman: AELV L1 VEAL +38 405
>JD: AEIOSTV K3 VAS +25 383
#note not this time. since he didn't attempt a block, I was 1-.55*.55=70% to draw a bingo on row 14 in the last two turns given a random pool. so hardly outrageously unlucky. I save a nice out with TOISE, but I should play that first because VAS goes in multiple spots. But best endgame sequence is sweet - SATI 13K -> VOES/SPLASHING
>Chris_Tallman: ENNRRU D4 .NNER +10 415
>JD: EIOT 13H TOI.E +16 399
#note hard not to feel like I gave this game away since I had a major edge, phonied and then missed a great setup, but much credit to chris also for blocking just enough and keeping it together under time pressure.
>JD: (RU) +4 403
