>Matthew_O'Connor: ATTW 8F TWAT +14 14
>Rob_Robinsky: EEMSSXY J8 SEXY +38 38
>Matthew_O'Connor: GM 11I G.M +18 32
>Rob_Robinsky: ?EEEMSV 12K MEVE +24 62
#note This looks pretty comparable to F6 VET, but I have to assume a strong leave for Matthew after GYM so I'm hesitant to make a lucrative E hook. That said, if he is able to take column O next turn I might struggle to bingo back even with the blank in hand, so maybe sacrificing 8 points to play EVE instead is justifiable. The defense of MEVE might be counterproductive here.
>Matthew_O'Connor: CELR N10 CR.EL +26 58
>Rob_Robinsky: ?AEISSY 15H mYIASES +88 150
#note O11 ESSAY is almost worth it.
>Matthew_O'Connor: IZ F8 .IZ +32 90
>Rob_Robinsky: AENNRRR -NRR +0 150
#note Saw 14E RERAN as I entered the rack into Quackle. Didn't see it over the board.
>Matthew_O'Connor: FNOTU 14F FOUNT +28 118
>Rob_Robinsky: AEEINRW 13C RENEW +38 188
>Matthew_O'Connor: HOOP O7 POOH +34 152
>Rob_Robinsky: AADIILR 12D AID +21 209
#note I didn't even look for anything other than unduplicating letters, and literally a split second after I hit my clock I saw the A on the star. -100000000 in the sim for not even looking for RADIALIA. Ughhh.
>Matthew_O'Connor: AEJN M7 JANE +28 180
#note Given that he's down, I'm surprised at how eager Matthew is to shut down the board. I'm not going to disagree, though.
>Rob_Robinsky: AHILLRR 9H LI.R +10 219
#note L8 LAH is tempting - 14 points is a lot to give up on this type of board. However, I fully expected Matthew to keep the board closed, so I was significantly concerned about what ILRR would turn into.
>Matthew_O'Connor: AF N6 FA +25 205
>Rob_Robinsky: AAHLORT 15A HARLOT +38 257
#note Quackle also suggests 11B OATH setting up the L. Close call, but I feel confident in my ability to play on a tight board.
>Matthew_O'Connor: BENRS 11A BRENS +23 228
>Rob_Robinsky: AKNOTUU A8 KNU. +30 287
#note The extra points and more balanced leave for KONBU are worth the sacrifice in board geometry control when compared to KNUB.
>Matthew_O'Connor: DD 8L D.D. +15 243
>Rob_Robinsky: AOOOTUU -OOOU +0 287
#note Keeping the U as Q insurance seemed worthwhile, though all those unseen I's are a concern. Quackle likes playing through with B8 OUTRO, but I have no desire to give up that much to chance.
>Matthew_O'Connor: EOV B7 VOE +14 257
>Rob_Robinsky: ?AABITU C8 AB +22 309
#note With the blank in hand, I guess it's time to throw board control and defense to the wind!
>Matthew_O'Connor: LOP D6 LOP +21 278
#note Matthew is obligated to keep trying to open even though he must suspect I drew the blank.
>Rob_Robinsky: ?AIIITU 6C I.IA +6 315
#note Barf. For once, Quackle wants to exchange on a turn where I did not.
>Matthew_O'Connor: AGT 5D GAT +21 299
>Rob_Robinsky: ?INOTUU G10 OU +13 328
>Matthew_O'Connor: I F4 I.. +3 302
>Rob_Robinsky: ?EINQTU 4F .NQUIET +52 380
#note I have three playable bingos - INQUIETS, INEQUITY, and QUINTETTI. I saw INQUIET immediately on my rack, and was about 99.99999% sure it took the S...but I lose to ERGODIC if I'm somehow wrong and would then probably be unable to finish in the money for the tournament due to my poor spread. I agonized over the position for the rest of my remaining time, so I didn't even look for INEQUITY. My goodness did I ever throw away equity in this game.
>Matthew_O'Connor: CDEGIOR 3C GRIDE +24 326
#note 3J GRICED cuts the most spread.
>Rob_Robinsky: ? 10F ..s +13 393
#note Uff-da. Sloppily played, though I feel like my thought processes were at least pretty accurate.
>Rob_Robinsky: (CO) +8 401
