>Evans_Clinchy: AEIILSY -IY +0 0
#note It's close between EASILY for 26 and various exchanges keeping AELS/EILS/AEILS. I didn't have a strong preference, but I figured this maximizes my chances of bingoing first, so let's do it.
>Matthew_O'Connor: IIIII -IIIII +0 0
>Evans_Clinchy: AEGILNS 8F SEALING +70 70
>Matthew_O'Connor: ADERSW M3 DEWARS +31 31
>Evans_Clinchy: EEGIITV K6 GE.ITIVE +74 144
>Matthew_O'Connor: ACHOU 12J A.OUCH +36 67
>Evans_Clinchy: DHIJMQT J11 H.DJ +39 183
#note This sims best valuation-wise, but it's a bit aggressive when I'm already ahead by a bingo. MEITH 13J scores similarly well and is more defensive, so it's worth considering. On the other hand, I'm generally not a fan of keeping the J or Q with no real plan for using either of them; keeping both seems kinda crazy. MEITH would lead to an entirely different game, as HADJ is just asking for a shootout. Shrug. I don't mind shootouts. You need spread to win tournaments too.
>Matthew_O'Connor: AFP L2 FAP +27 94
>Evans_Clinchy: ?EIMQRT F6 QI. +32 215
#note Thought for a while on this one. I thought QIS was my best option because it leaves lots of scoring options open for later - but it turns out, QUIM is actually better offensively! My average score next turn after QUIM is an utterly ridiculous 99.2. Must be because my chances of hitting the 3x3 are strong with a leave of ERT?. I'd expect Matt to leave the 3x3 open, too, since he needs it for himself to make a comeback.
>Matthew_O'Connor: AINNO 15H ANION +34 128
>Evans_Clinchy: ?EEMRTV H6 Vi.METER +63 278
#note I don't think I can play OVERTIME 7A - opening a second 3x3 at this point in the game is just too reckless. OVERMELT I2 is fine, though. That was a miss.
>Matthew_O'Connor: LMOO N1 MOOL +21 149
>Evans_Clinchy: ADFGINW O4 FADING +58 336
>Matthew_O'Connor: LRU O12 .URL +21 170
>Evans_Clinchy: ABEORWY O1 YO +38 374
>Matthew_O'Connor: PRU J5 PUR. +15 185
>Evans_Clinchy: ABEKORW G12 WOK +19 393
#note Got a little too obsessed with defense here; WORKER 13C for 28 is fine.
>Matthew_O'Connor: DEENORS 10A ENDORSE. +63 248
>Evans_Clinchy: AABEIRY A7 BAY. +27 420
#note EYEBAR is 36 and digs deeper into a bag of fun stuff, that looks solid.
>Matthew_O'Connor: BEELOT B2 BOLETE +24 272
>Evans_Clinchy: ?AEEIIR 2K I. +5 425
#note Not the best idea with the X and Z out - just giving him a free shot at a 50-point play. Quackle makes an interesting suggestion of AE C6, which creates a nice opening for a bingo ending in -IER.
>Matthew_O'Connor: CINSZ 1G ZINCS +50 322
#note Yeah, this is why IF is bad.
>Evans_Clinchy: ?AEEIRU C3 hIREE +24 449
#note This is also why IF is bad! I drew another vowel and now I'm screwed. This play is obviously wrong. I spent too long trying to find a bingo and then had no time left to find a play that didn't give him TAX. RIMAE is the correct choice here.
>Matthew_O'Connor: ATTTX D4 TAX +39 361
>Evans_Clinchy: AU 14E AU. +9 458
>Evans_Clinchy: (TT) +4 462
