>Carl: ACDEIOR D5 IDOCRA.E +78 192
>Mike_B: HJNOOQT E2 JOHN +32 130
>Carl: AACEIOS J6 CA.O +21 213
#note The commentators rightfully pointed out that this was an inferior play. This is a mistake I'm particularly susceptible to. Something like AEONIC is way better. It keeps a leave that isn't bingo-dependent. If I were down a bingo, CALO would be fine. (-6)
>Mike_B: DDEOQTZ C3 DOZED +56 186
>Carl: ?AEISSU 4H ISSUA.cE +68 281
#note The commentators weren't crazy about this play, but I think it has merit. It takes out several bingo lanes and keeps 2 TWS open to reduce volatility. SUASIVE 13D, on the contrary, puts a big hotspot on the board, and SAURIES allows bingos parallel to it. Notice that after ISSUANCE, all 4 Ss are gone, so the lower half of the board is dead to bingos. Particularly if Mike plays on Column O, I'll have a much easier time controlling the board after ISSUANCE.
>Mike_B: EEIQTWX H11 .WIXT +57 243
>Carl: EIILLRU F3 RIEL +26 307
#note I did see EURIPI, but RIEL seemed like a better play. One upside of EURIPI is that it doesn't give big plays on Column B. Lots of As unseen for AZINE.
>Mike_B: EEEMNOQ G11 .OME +30 273
>Carl: GILNTUV 14G ..ULTING +36 343
#note EXULTING wins the sim, but I like Avery's suggestion of GUV B6. That spot is too sweet.
>Mike_B: BEEGNQR H1 BEG.N +24 297
>Carl: AORRUVV O1 ROV. +21 364
#note ROVER is better, and would have saved me some spread later. (-4)
>Mike_B: AEFGIQR B6 FAQIR +46 343
>Carl: AAMRRUV L12 VA.R +16 380
#note I hadn't the first clue what to do with this rack. Quackle really hates my play, saying that I gave up 14% win percentage. Correct play is OVA F11. (-10)
>Mike_B: AEEFGIT N4 .AFE +35 378
>Carl: AAEEMRU O7 EMEU +21 401
#note I actually did see MAKAR, which Will pointed out in the commentary. However, from what I could see, it was worth it to block plays on Column O. EAU is probably better toward that end because it retains MAKAR for next turn. I'm very low on time here and have mistracked somewhere.
>Mike_B: EEGHILT 12A GIT. +7 385
>Carl: AAPR F11 .PA +18 419
#note Down to just a few seconds. Correct play is JAPER 2E. (-7)
>Mike_B: EEHL N1 EH +28 413
>Carl: AR 9F AR +6 425
#note AR I1 is best. (-2)
>Carl: (EL) +4 429
