#player2 Jackson_Smylie Jackson Smylie
>Joshua_Sokol: BEINORR H6 BRO +10 10
#note I'm constantly testing my theory regarding the letter O. One of my Scrabble rules of thumb is that my opponent *always* has an O, but at least in this particular case, this did not hold true, and he could not hook BRO
>Jackson_Smylie: DHIN I8 HIND +14 14
>Joshua_Sokol: EGINRXY H11 EXING +66 76
#note I hate when this happens. I obvoiusly can't hit this spot any percentage of the time that's at all relevant to Jackson's decision-making process, and yet I draw XGY and score 66
>Jackson_Smylie: CNOTY J5 CYTON +26 40
>Joshua_Sokol: EFLRRUY 13G R.FLERY +36 112
#note Jackson called this a good play post-mortem, but I didn't like it. It kept a U. But I missed the superior play of 12C REFLU(X), so my intuition was correct. RIFLERY was not a good play.
>Jackson_Smylie: ABO G7 OBA +19 59
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEEKMU 12L EAU +15 127
#note 14E AKE(N)E scores pretty well, but gives Jackson easy scoring options as well that open the left side. I liked neutralizing this part of the board and dealing with the G later, as plays at G11 will occur pretty often now. I was happy he played at G7, since I didn't want to make a play down G11 if it opened column F. MAKE is definitely not a leave one would come to expect me to keep after EAU, so I can occasionally get a nice hefty score next turn when Jackson makes an opening based on a weak rack leave inference.
>Jackson_Smylie: PTTU L8 PUTT.. +11 70
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEKMQW M7 KAME +31 158
#note this sequence was pretty good for me, despite the weak QEW draw.
>Jackson_Smylie: LW 8L ..WL +27 97
>Joshua_Sokol: EEENQWZ G11 WE.E +25 183
#note not unhappy with the scoring tile overload here, hopefully I can get a Q play down, but it isn't necessary just yet.
>Jackson_Smylie: ACDU 12C CAUD.. +32 129
>Joshua_Sokol: EJNQTUZ E11 T.QUE +28 211
#note This play wasn't ideal. It accomplished a few good things. It blocked the A, kept the Z for scoring, set up a scoring spot that can't do too much bad to the board, and kept the J for the possibility of drawing into JA(W) N6 next turn with an A, or ZE(D) F10 next turn with an E. ZIN(C)O or ZIN(C)S was also a possibility at C10, or a myriad of huge plays from 15A if Jackson hits a bingo next turn or can't touch the scoring spot. It's the best I could do in this position.
>Jackson_Smylie: FGIO 15A FOGI. +30 159
>Joshua_Sokol: AJNNOOZ 5J .AJON +28 239
#note This destroys the right side basically permanently, and retains the superpowerful Z to respond to anything he might have on the left side. CAJON only pluralizes with -ES. JA(W) was tempting for the points, but the leave is worse, the defense is worse, and Jackson can play from 5I later on if he wants to, forking the board in his favour. CAJON prevents that. The best thing about CAJON is actually that it's a fish for an I. If I draw one of the 6 remaining I's, I have ZIN(C)O at C9 for 52.
>Jackson_Smylie: EIP F9 PIE. +22 181
>Joshua_Sokol: DIMNOSZ C9 ZIN.O +52 291
#note in the driver's seat now more than ever before.
>Jackson_Smylie: GIST N2 STI.G +20 201
>Joshua_Sokol: DIIMOST 14J IDS +22 313
#note At this point I can withstand one bingo. My main goal with two blanks unseen is to either outrun two bingos or prevent two bingos from occurring. There are many bingo lanes here, but most of them are in one area, so if I concentrate his possibilities into that one area, I should be able to block most everything next turn if he hits a bingo. It was a lot to sacrifice with O1 DOIT seeming like a perfect blocking/scoring play, but I stand by this. My main concern after this is Jackson playing to the T or the S in STING, which makes is difficult to block the rest of the board, but allows me to possibly outrun a second bingo with 7 remaining tiles in the bag. I don't know, should I have gone with DOIT? I guess it has good outrunning potential as well.
>Jackson_Smylie: DEHIRSS E3 DISHERS +77 278
#note As I was expecting a worst-case-scenario to come down, such as a natural bingo with two blanks unseen, I didn't even think to hold this common phony. Luckily I had somewhere to go to seal the deal, but I hadn't yet noticed the spot. I need to hold ERS words more often.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIMOTV 3H MOTIVA.E +78 391
>Jackson_Smylie: ?AAEELO D3 OLEA +22 300
#note best play
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ALNRRV F2 VANs +23 414
#note best play, tied with 2G VeNAL or H1 VA(M)p, which I missed until making this play. Thought it might have been better, but it's equivalent
>Jackson_Smylie: ?AE H1 kA.E +18 318
