#player2 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
>George_Bissonnette: ACDINNO 8C NONACID +72 72
#note First opponent didn't show up, this was my first official game in the city of hills. This was going to be a tough hill to conquer.

He almost played this with the A on the star, which would have been so much better for me.
>Joshua_Sokol: GGLRTTZ H6 GL.TZ +15 15
>George_Bissonnette: ?ACDEST D5 ACc.STED +70 142
#note lucky he couldn't see a double-double. He wondered if NONACID took an S, but couldn't take the risk.
>Joshua_Sokol: EGGMNRT E2 GERM +22 37
#note this isn't going well. Maybe there really are some games that you can't win. Positive thoughts, Josh.
>George_Bissonnette: BOT C3 BOT +15 157
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGNNST J2 GENNETS +75 112
#note alright, it's now or never to make something happen. He almost challenged because of NONACIDS, which I was really fearing.
>George_Bissonnette: AQ 10B QA. +32 189
>Joshua_Sokol: ?DEINSY 11G DYnEINS +89 201
#note held and released. Hoped he would challenge this time.
>George_Bissonnette: AHO 10J HAO +31 220
>Joshua_Sokol: BEEIRUW 10F WI. +26 227
#note I really put a lot of thought into B10 (Q)UIRE but I figured it was time to settle down a little bit and prevent variance from escaping my control. I should have just done it in hindsight, but I'm still totally for this line instead.
>George_Bissonnette: ILLU B10 .UILL +28 248
>Joshua_Sokol: BEEEJRU A12 BEER +38 265
#note best two plays here are BEER and JUG.
>George_Bissonnette: OPT E11 TOP +17 265
>Joshua_Sokol: EIJMRSU 6F JU. +27 292
#note ok don't get a bingo don't get a bingo
>George_Bissonnette: EORV 13E .ROVE +12 277
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIMRSU 14I MAUSIER +76 368
#note incredibly he gave me a spot to bingo. This time he finally has had enough of these words that he doesn't know, and challenges when the game is very difficult to come back from.
>George_Bissonnette: OVX - +0 277
>Joshua_Sokol: AADEIRW O11 AWA.D +39 407
#note I can play longer along this column, but I didn't even consider it as it created a board that was impossible to block in the event George has a big play on row 15 and a bingo threat thereafter. I guess I'm probably too far ahead for that to worry me though, and O9 AIRWA(R)D is fine. I was once again trying to minimize variance here, but perhaps it's time to go for spread. I went from being a humongous underdog against just about any player to being in a very commanding position. I put a lot of thought into 15E WAIRED as well, but wasn't sure of its' validity and was still worried about a 3x3.
>George_Bissonnette: OVX 15H VOX +53 330
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFILRU C13 FLU +27 434
#note I didn't really consider just 4H FU(N)ERAL (almost decided to try FUNERIAL* on purpose), but that seems pretty good. It doesn't give George more than a turn to make an improbable comeback. This was sort of a spread play, hoping to maximize my potential for an upset in drawing into something next turn.
>George_Bissonnette: I 7J .I +2 332
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIKORY L4 YOKE +25 459
#note I knew it was probably better to just empty the bag with YO(N)KER 4H, but I got worried about an out-bingo using the R
>George_Bissonnette: AEEINRT 2H RE.INATE +68 400
>George_Bissonnette: AEEINRT -- -68 332
>Joshua_Sokol: AFIIOPR M5 FIR +23 482
>George_Bissonnette: AEEINRT 2H IN.REAT +16 348
>George_Bissonnette: AEEINRT -- -16 332
>Joshua_Sokol: AHIOP I2 AHI +24 506
#note I almost left INGREAT* on the board since it gave me much better options, but this was better in the end
>George_Bissonnette: AEEINRT N2 NEAT +14 346
>Joshua_Sokol: OP 13M OP. +18 524
>Joshua_Sokol: (EIR) +6 530
