#note this was a super interesting position! I somehow missed W(H)EE as an option, I think, otherwise I definitely attempt to set up my X that way. This isn't a great play as it allows for easy scoring for Dan and I can't actually do much with what I have. Better is UNWE(T), which doesn't give him the same scoring options and also gives me a faint possibility at EX(H)___ words next turn. But yeah, W(H)EE for sure, even though it usually doesn't work out.

>Joshua_Sokol: CEEGNPX K3 EXP..GE +34 47
#note I missed L1 EXCEPT/EXPECT. I considered 5I CEPE but XNG didn't seem great at all, I am depending on drawing two vowels most of the time, which is not something I need to depend on here. In any case, I think I was wise to rid myself of the G here ;)
>Daniel_Goodwin: DEGHIOP 4J O.ID +24 59
>Joshua_Sokol: CEKNNOT N3 NECK +33 80
#note I can tell that I was distracted in this game, I think some stupid thing was going on near to us between Christina Damron and her opponent. I mised (G)ECKO, NOCENT and TOKEN over the board, luckily tunnel vision didn't cost me anything here. This play is perfectly reasonable.
>Daniel_Goodwin: DOYZ 10K DOZY +44 103
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AANOST O1 TAOS +32 112
#note Severe blunder here, that might have worked in my favor, but unlikely. I thought I had ASSONANT to the T in NTH but while I was putting all my letters down, I realized I did not. Definitely unfocused here and it cost me precious rack information. I hoped Dan would mess up as a result, playing too paranoid knowing that I have the blank. I should probably have sacrificed equity to play a bingo here and not leave any rack info behind...

>Daniel_Goodwin: EGL L10 .GLE +10 146
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EENNRW 13I REN.W +18 154
#note I saw WENNiER on my rack prior to Daniel's play, and then totally spaced out at the fact that his play gave me a spot for it. I immediately realized this after my play and started to tilt pretty hard. This is a rather large mistake.
>Daniel_Goodwin: O 3M O.. +12 158
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EENNTV 3D VENENaT. +63 217
#note I once again almost put NONEVET(T)* down at 8A, thinking I had NONEVENT. Luckily this time I saw a bingo.
>Daniel_Goodwin: AEGIRST 12D STAGIER +72 230
#note But now, I'm not even ahead and there is still a bunch of good letters out. Here are some of them, unhappy he didn't have the blank and it's still lingering out there. Happy he missed (V)IRGATES for 4 more.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABLMSTY H1 MA.Y +39 256
#note I was really hoping he had duplicate O's, actually, and that he would give me an O in the perfect spot for my 8. Instead, I should have been looking for the bingo sitting on my rack. Damn it!
>Daniel_Goodwin: EIJ D1 JI.E +44 274
>Joshua_Sokol: BLORRST 5C BRR +25 281
#note Sim likes BORT a bit more than this. Lots of vowels left, no need to keep my O here for balance, I guess. Also, I can more likely get something through the T in STAGIER if I don't keep my own. And one more shot at the blank, but that's a secret.
>Daniel_Goodwin: AEIIOOU N10 .OU +6 280
#note not crazy about that play, Daniel!
>Joshua_Sokol: ELOOSTV 14H LEVO +34 315
>Daniel_Goodwin: AIIL 15E ILIA +18 298
>Joshua_Sokol: CDEFOST 6B COSET +37 352
#note I saw that I would be OK most of the time if he got something beginning in C, but I can't do much about ending in T from 8A. Hopefully I can avoid that or draw a huge play with the H or P at O12. I am also blocking the S in STAGIER, which is sort of minimal I guess. I felt like I had to score here because there are many ways for Daniel to win. Scoring with the H or the P, hitting a bingo...
>Daniel_Goodwin: ?AAELRS 8A ARbALES. +76 374
#note only bingo, this is bad
>Joshua_Sokol: AADFHIP O12 HAAF +51 403
#note did he draw an out? Shit, he did! Does it score enough to win after HAAF? This is going to be a close one...
>Daniel_Goodwin: BDII 13A BIDI +16 390
#note Extremely lucky to hold on to this one, that H saved my life, thanks for playing YOU I guess... I really screwed up my chances this game with all of the stuff I missed.
