>Joshua_Sokol: AACDFRS 10G CAFARDS +69 101
#note 9s are so awesome I wish I saw all the 9s
>Doug_Brockmeier: BEGOT 11C BEGOT +21 132
>Joshua_Sokol: AADEEGZ 12A GAED +26 127
#note ADAGE at 11G would have been so nice. I was not sure how to proceed here, but I thought that I would be able to use this setup to my advantage. Still not sure why other plays might be better, but I know for sure 6K AGAZE was not the right play.
>Doug_Brockmeier: EOQRU M5 ROQUE. +26 158
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEILOZ A11 A.AZE +45 172
#note not worth it to keep the A here for overlapping GAZE
>Doug_Brockmeier: JRY 8L J.RY +66 224
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AIILLO 14A .ILL +26 198
#note An interesting idea here is to play C10 O(BE)LI to set up my A with OBELIA. If ZILL didn't score enough to give me the possibility of tying the game up next turn without a bingo, I think OBELI would be the play. It also forks the board.
>Doug_Brockmeier: LLSTU K9 T.ULLS +12 236
#note too many L's
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AIKOOU 5J KOU.OI +20 218
#note 7C OAK was very tempting, as it scored 28 and set up a bingo lane, but I know he has an S, unless he thought he was blocking column 15 by mistake. Pretty sure he has another S. Like 95%. So let's go with the play that doesn't give him a hook.
>Doug_Brockmeier: DIORV O1 VIRO.D +33 269
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACNTTU 13E ANTiCU.T +63 281
#note almost played ANTICUT* before I saw the only valid bingo here
>Doug_Brockmeier: NSV H12 V.NS +30 299
>Joshua_Sokol: EINNOOY 12K .INEY +28 309
#note it's really going to be a matter of scoring at this point I think. I would really like to draw that last S though, hoping it's still out there.
>Doug_Brockmeier: DGR L3 DR.G +15 314
#note luckily Doug is still on a vowel shortage period and is making the game more competitive as a result
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFNOOT O12 .OOF +30 339
>Doug_Brockmeier: IT 6I TI +20 334
>Joshua_Sokol: AEMNNPT E5 ANN.. +24 363
#note He just set up the S, but I might not be able to afford blocking it 13A (A)MA scores 27, leaves one in the bag and offers a decent leave with all the remaining vowels leftover. But ANNEX wasn't just a blocking play. I'm keeping T(E)MP N11 as a possibility as well as options on column D if Doug blocks T(E)MP and leaves himself an out, many sequences of this being available in the unseen tiles. It seemed I would barely eke it out in that context. I was blind to the big scoring spot only Doug had eyes for, but luckily it didn't come into play.
>Doug_Brockmeier: BEENOSW N3 EN.W +36 370
#note turns out that against optimal play, (A)MA would have been my only chance to win if I drew AI out of the bag, leaving the E. I should have known that Doug had all of the consonants based on the plays he had been making and played with the knowledge that he had the W. I realized he had an out-bingo here but I just had to hope it was invalid or that he would miss it. I mentioned it in post-mortem but Doug didn't seem to understand what I was asking.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEIMPT N11 T.MPI +35 398
#note -1 to D1 METEPA. I played quickly because we were both quite low on time, but Doug more so, and I didn't know if I had enough to win after the huge surprise of him scoring so much.
>Doug_Brockmeier: BEOS F2 OBES +10 380
#note 8 more at 4G but he had seconds on his clock.
>Doug_Brockmeier: (AEE) +6 386
