>Jason_Keller: ACHKSUZ 8G HUCK +26 26
#note Next time, let's see the 60-point play a second BEFORE we hit the clock and not a second after, shall we? Quackle also likes CUZ here, but next time, take the 60-point play.
>JD: EEEOVVX 7F VEX +29 29
>Jason_Keller: AGRSTUZ K5 ZAGS +42 68
#note He later told me he'd missed some kind of 60 point play here
>JD: AEEOOUV L3 UVAE +27 56
>Jason_Keller: NRRRSTU 3K R.RU +8 76
#note J8 KNURR is an improvement here. Did not occur to me in the moment.
>JD: EEIOOTW -EIOOTW +0 56
#note I spotted the only play worth actually putting on the board, KOW at J8, and decided to exchange instead. RURU suggests a relatively strong leave to go with it, quite likely with an S, and I felt like I needed to go draw an S of my own to compete (hence why I also threw back the T). Q thinks that keeping ET is a tad better, both with and without an S inference.
>Jason_Keller: ANNRRST N2 R.N +6 82
#note NUR or 5H TARZAN? I thought about NUR, but I'm hoping that run will lead to a bingo immediately. Might be overrating ANRST?
>JD: AEEGGIL O4 AGGIE +27 83
>Jason_Keller: AINNRST J6 TA.IN +21 103
#note Fish didn't work. Just trying to make something happen here.
>JD: ?AEEEJL K10 AJEE +24 107
>Jason_Keller: DIINNRS 12H DIN.R +16 119
>JD: ?BDEELY 13C BELaYED +94 201
#note looking good so far...
>Jason_Keller: IINOQST 14B QI +26 145
>JD: DFPSTTW 15C TWP +17 218
#note must block. Q also suggests FEST at D12, but there's no way I'm offloading my S with so many good future spots for it.
>Jason_Keller: DINOSTW 12B DOW +30 175
>JD: CDEFNST N8 DEFT +19 237
#note I can score more, but if I think his rack is strong, then I think I should be thinking about blocking here - ideally I take out this lane and then jam the EHS hook next turn. A reasonable inference leads to this play winning the sim.
>Jason_Keller: AAINOST 9A ATONIAS +66 241
#note Finally got something going.
>JD: ?ACLNOS B2 OSCuLAN. +72 309
#note this is the best of the bingos. CANOLA at A4 sims well, but even holding S? I preferred not to turn this into a race to the next bingo. should be in pretty good shape either way.
>Jason_Keller: EEEILOR A7 LE. +17 258
#note I saw EELIER, but that puts me behind 42 with one E left in the pool. None of the options look great. 14F EE opens another line, but I need to be lucky within about two turns here to have a shot.
>JD: BEFILMN 5A F.MBLE +24 333
#note this is a deceptively bad play. I was trying to block some of the lanes on the board and bring the end of the game closer, but in the process I shed all of the scoring consonants that can shield me from a bad draw. the bag is pretty heavy on vowels, so a disaster draw with OOO is not out of the question. I can take one of two approaches: play a more defensive move like BINMEN or CLIMB that also blocks the S, or simply try to outrun by playing NIFE at M7 and keeping a strong BLM leave. In retrospect, I wish I had spotted BINMEN.
>Jason_Keller: EEHIORT 3A I.OTHERE +74 332
#note Of course, I could be lucky in one.
>JD: AIINOOP M9 POI +22 355
#note Jason's last play is the perfect storm, but also not that improbable. with NIFE, I have PLEB in response and should win from there; after BINMEN, he has to make some kind of fish and my chances are good. My inaccurate play of FUMBLE left me in a potentially losing position. I'm never going to go out first given my terrible rack, so I should be trying to score as much as I can to outrun; to win, I will need to draw the M or Y. Therefore, I should score as much as I can this turn with RIP/VINA/ZAP. every point counts.
>Jason_Keller: MORSTUY O11 STRUM +27 359
#note I can play OY at 14G to set up STRUM in two spots, but I saw lots of OY spots to go out and not much Jesse could do about them.
>JD: AIINOO 10C NAOI +16 371
#note OON at 11C for 1 extra spread point, making OOBIT
>Jason_Keller: OY 2E OY +31 390
#note Sigh of relief.
>Jason_Keller: (IO) +4 394
