>Jesse_Day: BEZ 8G BEZ +28 28
>Mina: ADEEISV 9B ADVISEE +71 71
#note Three possible placements; yay, I chose the best one. Nice to start with a confidence booster.
>Jesse_Day: OVW 7F VOW +22 50
>Mina: EHIOTTU 10H THOU +16 87
#note Quackle prefers HI(D)EOUT, but I wanted more control over my next rack. I'm surprised that Quackle's second choice is 10A THO for 30, since EITU seems a miserable leave. I spent time choosing between 6H THOU and 10H THOU, which Quackle valuates quite similarly, and I chose against 6H so as not to set up a big XU spot. I guess it doesn't matter since there's the X spot at 10B.
>Jesse_Day: ?ALLMPT B8 T.iLLAMP +72 122
#note Great find. His only bingo.
>Mina: EGIKORT 6H TIK +25 112
#note Hmm, my play is nowhere among Quackle's top fifteen choices. Its top four favorites are all fives played at A4, led by KIORE for 48 leaving GT. Given Jesse's next play, I guess I made a defensive mistake here.
>Jesse_Day: AEFRY A4 FAYRE +51 173
>Mina: EEGORUY A13 YOU +39 151
#note Ooh I missed (V)OGUEY. But my play is still by faaaar the best according to Quackle. Woot!
>Jesse_Day: JT K9 J.T +20 193
>Mina: AEEEGIR 12I AGEE +21 172
#note Quackle prefers B2 GEARE for 30 leaving EI, but the next three options all sim interchangeably close to each other: C13 EA for 21 leaving EEGIR, D9 (V)EGIE for 18 leaving AER, and my play. Equity loss only around -2.4.
>Jesse_Day: ?DEILTU D3 DiLUTI.E +74 267
#note There was only one higher-scoring bingo, 13F DUELIsT for 78!
>Mina: ACEGINR K1 ANERGIC +78 250
#note K1 GRECIAN sims one point ahead of my play. Didn't know TIKA.
>Jesse_Day: CGILOTU 2E CLOUTI.G +65 332
>Mina: EEEFINR H12 REEF +31 281
#note Gah, he blocked 3B RE(D)EFINE! My play sims second- or third-best after B1 INFERE for 36 leaving E (unnecessarily dangerous) and 4H FEE(R)IN for 26 leaving ER. I didn't know either of those.
>Jesse_Day: BNN H1 B.NN +21 353
>Mina: AEINOOR 4K .OO +6 287
#note 3F IO(N)ON(E) for 18 leaving AER is clever. Quackle's favorite is C12 ORA for 25 leaving EINO. Again, I thought you weren't supposed to keep three vowels and a consonant if you could help it. I was trying to open another bingo lane distinct from the one pluralizing RAGEE; figured ROO takes quite a few back hooks.
>Jesse_Day: NR 13A ..RN +14 367
>Mina: AEINOPR 15D PINA.ORE +66 353
>Jesse_Day: AM G13 MA. +17 384
#note At this point Jesse texted me "pre-endgame!!!" with three exclamation marks. Could I actually be... in it?? He could have dumped the M and A at 3G MNA for two more points, as it turns out, so I wonder if MAA was strategically chosen. Every point was going to count from here on out.
>Mina: DHIISSX C2 SIX +34 387
#note Oops. Quackle prefers E8 D(I)XI for 36 leaving HISS, a play which I had missed. My play is second-best, simming a little over a point behind (on many-ply sim... am I doing this right?), but the win percentage is 36.19% for DIXI and only 31.53% for SIX. A key flaw in my game appears to be that I DO NOT GENERATE ENOUGH CANDIDATE PLAYS. Words I know, yo.
>Jesse_Day: AAEINOR 12B .OAN +14 398
#note Wow! This looks like a hella difficult position on Jesse's side, and yet he picked the exact same play as Championship Player. (Well, he actually tried to play 12B LIANE and was told by the Facebook Scrabble app that IR* is not a word, but -- details.) Guess he saw that I would have clunky non-synergy and he'd be able to go out more quickly.
>Mina: DDHIQSS N2 QIS +28 415
#note Championship Player says that my win percentage was now 0.00% regardless of what I play here. Here was my thought process for my final seven tiles: (1) Priority #1, to get rid of the Q, either with N2 QIS for 28 or B1 QI for 26; (2) Priority #2, to get rid of an SH, either with 13 SH for 22 or L6 SH for 21; (3) I would love to play PINAFORE(D) after that, but the game won't go that far. I considered changing my endgame sequence but, after using the Dictionary function as we were allowed to do, I realized he didn't have an out with AEIRW (WARIE* at 14K isn't any good, as it turns out, even though UNWARIE is a word!), and so I didn't need to block the lower right corner.
>Jesse_Day: AEIRW F13 AW. +33 431
#note Surprisingly, Championship Player reveals that Jesse could have played his final two moves in either order.
>Mina: DDHS 10D .DH +31 446
#note As I looked at the board anew, I realized I had a much better play than either of the SH spots I'd been eying. Always keep looking! So, at least I lost by a less sad margin.
