>Joey_Krafchick: FIZ H7 FIZ +30 30
>Joshua_Sokol: AEENNNT I8 NAN +18 18
#note felt close between this and points with ENATE I7. Felt TEEN was good enough to sacrifice 9 points next to NN. This is .2 ahead of ENATE on a 2-ply sim, but well ahead in a 4-ply sim. I9 ANENT is more conservative to keep the board open but not in staircase mode while down a whole tempo. Everyone uses 2-ply and that is why they consistently fail to beat Nigel Richards.
>Joey_Krafchick: KOPRUW 11H WORKUP +34 64
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEILNT 12B CENTILE +76 94
>Joey_Krafchick: ADDERST 13G ADDREST +84 148
>Joshua_Sokol: ??CHNOQ L10 Q.r.H +32 126
#note QO(P)Hs being blocked, I have to take a bit less of an easy route. It's anyone's game at this point, despite Joey's opponent once again pulling the blanks against him. COQ(U)i(S) scores 6 more, probably a bit better, though I much preferred my leave.
>Joey_Krafchick: AILT 11C TAIL +18 166
>Joshua_Sokol: ?CINORT 14A CORTINs +72 198
#note Cool, I could have played COWRITTEN as a 9 for the second time in my Scrabble career! I didn't like this but couldn't see anything else. I don't want to play this with WORKUPS because of the big scoring spot it gives up, but he has all one-pointers, so I guess it's fine. Didn't want to play NORITIC because it was far easier to score underneath it. Everything is really close here, but I think I just go for the points given Joey's last play. Thought I could control the board but really there is no way to do that at this point unless I get some key draws.
>Joey_Krafchick: AGIORTV J9 GO. +23 189
#note Joey missed not one, but two 9s here! He had seen AGIINORTV before but couldn't recall. I had no idea that GRAVITINO was a word, but if PHOTINO is good, so be it. Other 9 is one I did know, RAVIGOT(TE) C4. I wonder if Joey knew it too. Wow.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEEEIL A13 A.E +15 213
#note I liked the leave of EEEIL better than AEEEL, but failed to consider that at least AEEEL had a 4 in it that I could play. I(C)E is probably better than A(C)E here. I also considered exchanging, which is totally fine here as well. Don't think Joey will be able to make a play that screws me over even if he knows I have one-pointers. Dunno, should I have exchanged? Also considered A(r)IEL 12K for points, but nah. He doesn't seem like he can hit any of the current scoring spots given his last play, and I'm not too worried about him getting a bingo down for some reason. I probably exchange in a do-over, but I don't know. I(C)E wins a sim by around a point over keeping EL, and 1.5 over A(C)E.
>Joey_Krafchick: AUV 10A VAU +11 200
>Joshua_Sokol: EEEIILP A7 LIE.E +24 237
#note not playing I(C)E actually hurt a decent amount here. PEE(V)E would have kept AIL, and despite it opening up a much easier lane for Joey, it still would have been an upgrade from LEA(V)E or LIE(V)E
>Joey_Krafchick: FIRST K5 FRITS +30 230
>Joshua_Sokol: EEIOPTX 15G EXPO +42 279
>Joey_Krafchick: HMRU 8K .HRUM +42 272
>Joshua_Sokol: BEINOOT J4 BOO +16 295
#note Almost played 9C BOO, but that didn't really create a great lane for me. I preferred to keep things a bit more closed here. BONITO B2 would have been OK if there weren't so many A's out. L1 BOITE if I don't want to fish, but that's basically giving Joey the benefit of beating me at rack-balancing. J4 BOO sims 1.5 points under 9C. I hadn't realized the existence of the J hotspot, if I had, I think I would have played that one.
>Joey_Krafchick: AGSY N7 Y.GAS +27 299
>Joshua_Sokol: DEGINTY G3 DINGEY +26 321
#note I wanted to get tempo going here now that the game was ending soon. DINGEY leaves 9 in the bag, which is pretty good for me. It also blocks the best bingo lane, and Joey has the last S more than usual here. 14K T(H)EY would have been fine if my ING had anywhere to go next turn, if I didn't know the J was probably in the bag, if there were a few more tiles in the bag... It sims .3 above DINGEY but that's a useless result.
>Joey_Krafchick: AEEISUV F1 UVEA +20 319
#note Pretty sure he said this was his rack. Really tough and bad position for Joey. Go for the J, he can still outscore me. Otherwise, if he thinks outscoring prospects are not on the table, C9 A(UTE)U(R) is a cool play to set up a lane and try to regain tempo in the endgame. I think I like that, actually. 7 in the bag after AUTEUR. Really tough to see that. It also blocks the J spot. UVEA and AVE are tied in the sim.
>Joshua_Sokol: DELMOTW 1D WO.LD +39 360
#note I have to play this, but I'm damn worried about a one-tile fish or an immediate bingo here. I almost played MOULTED, but that makes it easier for him to play a bingo. Still might be better off. I really escaped this one by a tiny margin.
>Joey_Krafchick: ABEEIRS D1 .E +5 324
#note good play. Luckily I had recounted, and realized I would still win.
>Joshua_Sokol: EIJMNOT L1 JOINT +46 406
#note Surprised AFRITS didn't come up all game. BOO blocked it partially, and I hadn't seen it at that point. I only saw it on the WOULD turn. Really silly of me.
