#player2 Jim_Burlant Jim Burlant
>Mike_Willis: ELV 8G LEV +12 12
>Jim_Burlant: BDEFLMY J6 FLY +27 27
#note This wins a sim but there was a really cool play available I didn't know: MEDFLY J3!
>Mike_Willis: DEEENRT 7B ENTERED +66 78
#note Best bingo for Mike. His other options are DEFERENT and RELENTED.
>Jim_Burlant: ABDEIMT A4 BAITED +45 72
#note Kinda hard to believe this nicely balanced rack doesn't make an 8 with anything in the alphabet. This is best.
>Mike_Willis: CDNSU E3 DUNC.S +18 96
>Jim_Burlant: ADEIMOR D3 OMA +23 95
#note Reasonable choice but not best. I never looked for plays keeping the M so I missed the star play: OREIDE B2 scores 35. Of note: REDBAITED A1 39.
>Mike_Willis: PRU H4 PRU.. +11 107
>Jim_Burlant: ADEGIRT C1 DERATI.G +86 181
#note Nice find, but an even better play was available: GAITERED B3 scores 81 and doesn't play with fire on row 1. Still in good shape at 76% to win.
>Mike_Willis: ILPTU 4H .ULPIT +20 127
>Jim_Burlant: ?BNNRWY 2B W.N +18 199
#note Ugly leave, but there's no need to exchange - this unloads the W and one of my N's. More importantly, it kills the 3x3 threat on row 1. This or WREN 2A is best. If I had this to do again I might play WREN to unload the extra consonant.
>Mike_Willis: ITZ 3L TIZ +30 157
>Jim_Burlant: ??BINRY N1 BI. +28 227
#note And the curse of the double-blank racks starts its work. I spent forever here looking for the bingo that didn't play. It's either this or the cute J6 FLYBY. In retrospect I wish I had found FLYBY, as I probably wouldn't have made the mistakes I made later in the game.
>Mike_Willis: GIS 1L GI.S +27 184
>Jim_Burlant: ??EINRY F1 RYE +19 246
#note I whiffed on everything here...but it turns out that bingoing is not best! Even ENquIRY B9(the best of the bingoes by far) sims way down the list. This is reasonable, but best would have probably been PYE K4. Makes sense - doesn't give back plays at 1H and sets up the R hook for an easy bingo. Still in excellent shape at 96.7% to win.
>Mike_Willis: OUX 1F .OUX +33 217
>Jim_Burlant: ??AEINN I8 .ENetIAN +61 307
#note Having burned forever and a half on the last turn and starting to get somewhat low on time, I shrugged my shoulders and put this down. Hated this play but was getting tired of staring at those duplicated blanks. Best would have been the simple B9 EARNING or B7 ENAMINES.
>Mike_Willis: OW J14 WO +28 245
>Jim_Burlant: ELOOSST K9 LOTOSES +73 380
#note Best bingo - maximizes score while it eliminates plaws down the H column to H15.
>Mike_Willis: AEEHIOR - +0 245
#note Lost challenge.
>Jim_Burlant: ACFGHJR 15G FA... +24 404
#note Running low on time and wanting to take out 15H. Best looks to be L10 FAH.
>Mike_Willis: AEHM L9 AHEM +35 280
>Jim_Burlant: CEGHJRV M7 VEG +19 423
>Mike_Willis: IQ 14F QI +36 316
>Jim_Burlant: ACHJORR 11E CHOR. +18 441
>Mike_Willis: AAEIKNO 13G KO. +27 343
>Jim_Burlant: AJOR D7 .AJ +16 457
>Mike_Willis: AAEIN 5K IN +15 358
>Jim_Burlant: OR B9 OR +7 464
#note 1A ROD scores 17
>Jim_Burlant: (AAE) +6 470
