>Joshua_Sokol: AALNSTT H8 ALT +6 6
#note Erring on the side of caution here as I was unsure of SALTANT. A huge miss to start things off.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: BEORV 11E BEVOR +24 24
>Joshua_Sokol: AEILNST J5 TENAILS +72 78
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AGILR 8J .RGALI +27 51
>Joshua_Sokol: BEINOQW 12D QI +26 104
#note I realized I had NIQ(A)B a few seconds too late. Sucks that I missed it, but this is perhaps better because it sets up BOW atop QI/BI. NIQ(A)B sims one point higher.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: GOX K4 GOX +35 86
>Joshua_Sokol: ?BENORW 10D BOW +34 138
#note Instead of thinking about this play a bit more I just auto-piloted BOW like it was 2013 Josh playing all over again. I saw JAWBONER but for some odd reason I thought I was making it up. I missed RAWBONED which is 2 more than JAWBONER at M7. Both of those are well better than this. I saw a bunch of 70-pointers prior to making my move and decided to eschew them.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AFH 7M FAH +29 115
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ENRUWY G2 UNWEaRY +69 207
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EEGO 9L OGEE +28 143
#note I'm in great shape though. I should win this.
>Joshua_Sokol: ACJKNOS L1 CAJON +43 250
#note and what a pull indeed. I joked aloud that I was giving Ben one chance, because really, I am only giving him one chance. If he can't make something happen this turn I should be just about locked into victory. I could have played F4 OAK though, which seems fine.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AEINSTU 13E SINUATE +65 208
>Joshua_Sokol: DEKLMST 2K T.LK +16 266
#note With this weird pull, very different from the draws I'd been getting this game, I was sort of at a loss. I guess 2K L(A)KED is better, but this is fine.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EMOPY O1 MYOPE +57 265
#note but then this happened
>Joshua_Sokol: DDEEMSU 1H DEDU.E +34 300
#note I played this instantly, trying to shake off the fear that I was throwing this game away.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: CDENOV 5B COVEN.D +26 291
#note Ben took a long time to play this, and I didn't know why as it seemed like a good play with not very many good options around. Well, it's phony! It looked totally fine, and still does. Wow.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEMSSTU F2 MU +22 322
#note and it even blocked my bingo~~! I guess I really should have known by the time he took to play this that it wasn't good. But I thought COVENING* was good too! Still, I'm in good shape to win this one, so not really worried just yet.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AHIOR D3 HA.IOR +26 317
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIRSST 14I SATIRES +76 398
#note After seeing both bingo options, I was trying to figure out if I should go for one. It seemed like I was a decent favorite with the bingo, and with any of the fishes available, I could still lose by getting outscored and missing my bingo, and really the board isn't amazing for a bingo. I figured that even though HAVIOR was probably a good, balanced play and that Ben's rack is a bit better than random, I should still have played the bingo with FPZIII in there to disturb the peace, but the sim results indicate that I might be better off not, as a play like C1 AIS, an S fish, an SI fish or leaving one in the bag with (GO)RIEST L8 might be better if I assume Ben's rack is a bit better than the sim does.

As it would have turned out, Ben's rack is a killer no matter what I did. My best play would maybe have had a 2/8 chance of winning against his real rack.

It looks like I got the short end of the stick in this game, but that's only because I brought it upon myself by talking myself out of perfectly valid bingos.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: ?ADIINZ 15C DIAZINs +103 420
#note Quackle also thinks S(C)ARIEST is less scary for Ben, but he would have had DIAZINe and DIAZINs for 130+ had I chosen that. He was all set to play DIAZ(O) C1, which basically beats anything but a bingo on my part. He might have even gone for DIAZ(O)s to block the C, which definitely would have worked in his favor.
