>Joshua_Sokol: BDGIOTU H4 OUTDIG +18 18
#note Josh was very outspoken about having to play me here, and I tried to make sure that this didn't jinx me. I told him that I was going to lose for sure and that I didn't want to play him (lose to him) either.

So I was debating between OUTBID and OUTDIG here, and ultimately the G was so bad that I decided to play OUTDIG. For some reason it wasn't totally clicking that OUTDIG was a word, but I didn't think too much of it at the time.
>Josh_Greenway: ADO I7 ADO +17 17
>Joshua_Sokol: AAABEEE -AAABEE +0 18
#note now all I could think of was this awful draw of aaaeee
>Josh_Greenway: ACERRSS 10B SCARERS +72 89
#note And now when he hooks OUTDIG, all I can think of was karma making it very hard for me to win this game, when I just needed to remember that OUTDIG* was phony! I would have figured it out. This was a huge mistake and I would never get another chance to win this game.
>Joshua_Sokol: EEILRWY D8 WE.RILY +34 52
>Josh_Greenway: ABCK 13C B.ACK +36 125
>Joshua_Sokol: DEGIILT J5 DIG +12 64
#note I should play F13 (C)IG for 8 here, despite its ridiculousness. Josh will take the triple even if it means leaving his rack in shambles, and it maximizes my chance at a bingo.
>Josh_Greenway: DEMOP K2 MOPED +29 154
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEILTU 4K .ELAU +16 80
>Josh_Greenway: FOP M3 F.OP +18 172
>Joshua_Sokol: EEIINTT J9 TIE +9 89
#note Did I say I wouldn't get the chance to make a comeback this game? That's because I kept on expecting not to hit a bingo and instead of ruthlessly looking for one I would tunnel on a fishing play almost instantly. How many high probs did I miss thus far? 2000-level performance, guys. Also 8A NIT(W)IT
>Josh_Greenway: NOW J1 NOW +19 191
#note Put down at K11, picked back up, and for 2 minutes I hoped that he would decide to play at J1, put down NOW, pick it up, and switch the N and the W to play WON. That way I would have had a much stronger comeback.
>Joshua_Sokol: EINORRT F4 ORIENT.R +60 149
#note briefly considered INTERRO(OM)*, but figured he might challenge this. I did see B4 INTROR(S)E!!! Wow! Such great high-prob word-finding ability...
>Josh_Greenway: MNU K11 MUN +18 209
#note I'm now convinced he has a blank.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ENNQRV 6E Q. +11 160
#note I really should have just played O3 Q(U)aVER. He was going to bingo no matter what, I needed to catch up. I figured I had a very good chance of getting a bingo down next turn after this, but failed to consider I might draw into a 3x3 if I exchange keeping ENR?.
>Josh_Greenway: AA L1 AA +8 217
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ELNNRV 1L .VER +21 181
#note 12J R(U)N is suggested to maximize average score next turn, hitting a few possible 3x3s and many other bingos.
>Josh_Greenway: ?AELNST 14H ELASTiN +72 289
#note Only thing scoring better than this is O1 (R)ES(U)LtANT, but this is good to keep the scoring pressure on. Only around 10 points back on a sim.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EILNNU 15G UNI +17 198
#note I either play a bingo now and hope for a huge bailout bingo, or I try to mosey my way up by blocking scoring spots. Not sure what the best route to take is. I don't think there are enough tiles left for this to work, but I definitely saved some spread.
>Josh_Greenway: IX 13M XI +36 325
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EHLNTY B3 ETHYNyL. +71 269
#note Yay style points. Except I missed O3 HUNTEDLY, which he might have challenged as well, and that leaves the S open, and I think he has the case S. Damn. bad bad bad. Many chances to steal this one away.
>Josh_Greenway: ETV A1 VET +20 345
#note We had a discussion at the airbnb later that night about holding plays. I had to let Josh know that if he wasn't considering challenging ETHYNYLS he shouldn't have kept me on hold for so long, even though it doesn't really matter with the new courtesy draw rule. Also, you can't play the Mind Police and know without a doubt that someone is not considering challenging, unless they say "I'm not going to challenge, but you're still on hold" such as Josh did.

I get stickled with rules when I'm losing this type of match.
>Joshua_Sokol: BHIJOOZ 14B JO. +30 299
#note I knew I should have played ZI(N) first here. He would have been more likely to screw up the endgame that way, but still I almost definitely lose.
>Josh_Greenway: AAEEGIS 1F AGAI. +18 363
#note sharp endgame play by Josh here, saving many good spots for his SEE, blocking ZI(N) and scoring well. Only O11 AIS or C2 AGEE, in whichever order, are as good of a candidate as AGAI(N) is.
>Joshua_Sokol: BFHIOZ 15A HOB +40 339
>Josh_Greenway: EES 7M SEE +15 378
#note He said he knew he should be playing C3 SEE but he was only 99% sure of TES. Reminiscent of me when I eschewed SNOOTED for a more sure win in my first game (and first win) over the Prodigy himself, Mack Meller.
