>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHIOR H2 ApHORIA +76 76
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHIOR -- -76 0
#note Ben was on tilt following his last game, so I took the opportunity to try and slip this common phony by. He almost allowed me to draw before holding, and then finally challenged after a few minutes. Damn. Almost worked. I don't regret it.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: GJU 8G JUG +22 22
#note APHORIZE, APHORISE, APHORIST, APHORISM.

APHONY, APHONIC, APHONIA.

Don't slip up!
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAHIOR 9G OHIA +28 28
#note Ben missed that this gave me easy points. He said his leave was garbage and he should have exchanged.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AL J8 A.L +17 39
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ALNRRV -NRV +0 28
>Ben_Schoenbrun: DOT 10E DOT +16 55
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACLQRS K5 CARL +25 53
#note aaaah why does karma punish me so for an opening phony. I should be in much better shape... :(

This play unwittingly led to Ben letting JUGAS* go in a later game. Or at least that's how I see the world.

11D CARS and K5 CARLS sim better. I trust that result. Keep the L for JUGAL and set up a future bingo lane I guess. with CARS, and just score with CARLS, the S isn't really important as JOT takes an A-hook and the Q needs all the turnover it can get to hopefully make its way onto the board next turn.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EIMNORT 5F INTER.OM +62 117
#note *Cesar-type self-loathing sentence about an inferior-simming play giving opponent a bingo they wouldn't have had if optimality had been achieved last turn*
>Joshua_Sokol: ?GHINQS H1 NIGH. +39 92
#note using up my blank last turn with QuA F6 would have worked out best. Ben would have freaked out thinking I left A? on my rack and would block the A(QUA) hook for little to no points.

If I play 4F QI, I can hit a bunch of stuff with a one-vowel draw, so long as Bnjy doesn't play defense, which he will. I can fish off the Q to maximize my chances, but Bnjy will make one of his signature scoring-plays-that-set-up-more-scoring-plays and remain in the lead after my impending bingo.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: DRU 6D URD +15 132
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AENQSS 2G Q. +11 103
#note Really annoying position here. I didn't want to have to drop my ! for 11, that's why I didn't do it last turn. I also have no scoring play with the Q that doesn't use up my blank, even though he has just thrown a U out there in the open. The Q is definitely the second-worst tile in the game, right behind the G.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EIOOR M2 ROO.IE +18 150
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AAENSS C3 NAuSEAS +71 174
#note missing everything else. God. I couldn't see anything on day 1. 11D PAESANS is 14 more points and has a better valuation. -16.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EESV 11D VEES +33 183
>Joshua_Sokol: IMSTUXZ D2 MUX +44 218
>Ben_Schoenbrun: ELP 8A LE.P +27 210
>Joshua_Sokol: IRSTWYZ J4 W.Y +30 248
#note The Z on the other hand, oh, what an amazing tile. After my draw following NAUSEAS I knew I was going to win. I got this play right, although WI(R)Y, 4L T(O)WY, also on my radar, are not far behind on the sim.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EFOR 2J FRO.E +32 242
>Joshua_Sokol: CDIRSTZ N7 RITZ +35 283
#note now I BELIEVE I missed DITZ in the same spot here, but that seems almost impossible. I do remember being distracted this turn, so either I forgot my real leave (unlikely) or I missed DITZ (also unlikely). I'm just gonna say that I missed DITZ because I am awful.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: F 6M .F +38 280
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AACDIS A4 SIDA.CeA +61 344
#note now I know for sure that I chickened out of a 4 on this turn. So even if I didn't miss DITZ last turn to donate 38 points to Ben, I definitely bled almost that much this turn. O6 SADI was clearly better than this but I took the play back when I didn't like Ben's reaction to it. I also didn't know my better bingo here, CApSIDA(L). Even SAD and AD are better than this. I failed. But I didn't account for what followed.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: BNU - +0 280
#note Those new words... They escape even my godlike superior, bnjy.
>Joshua_Sokol: GIILOOP 4L G.OP +26 370
>Ben_Schoenbrun: BNU E1 NUB +14 294
#note I really just needed to avoid a big play on column O for one turn and hope for a play there myself. Lucky I drew one.
>Joshua_Sokol: IIIKLOT O8 TI +14 384
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EE D11 .EE +12 306
#note He's drawn 8 of the 12 E's already!!!
>Joshua_Sokol: AIIKLOY 13C L.AKY +32 416
#note C12 OAK to set up OAK-Y and block everything else. This allows bingos, and I had no way of knowing that putting a K or a Y at 15C didn't give Ben any wins.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AW 1K AW +20 326
>Joshua_Sokol: BEIINOV 10L BI. +14 430
#note 1N BI is 9 points better, but I thought this was cute.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: DEENTT O8 ..ED +20 346
#note -6 to 11K TED
>Joshua_Sokol: EINOV L10 .OVINE +24 454
>Joshua_Sokol: (ENTT) +8 462
