>Winter: EEQTWYZ 8D WEETY +30 30
#note Pretty sure it's not good, but this is my third game against Nick, and I have solid reasoning to suspect he'll let it go.
>Nicholas_Watrous: NOTW 9C WONT +20 20
>Winter: HIIKQXZ 10F HI +27 57
#note I'm pretty astounded by drawing QXZ and miss KHI.
>Nicholas_Watrous: AEILNOR 7H AILERON +64 84
>Winter: DIJKQXZ I6 Q. +11 68
#note This is an amazing rack, the first time in my entire tournament history that I've held all high-point tiles on my rack. The rack screams exchange, of course, but my experience with countless opponents at this level is that they almost always win by drawing all the power tiles.

I start with the Q because it's the clunkiest.

Thus, if I can play through them and remove them as a factor, I'm almost certain to win.
>Nicholas_Watrous: EPT 8M PET +21 105
>Winter: DIIJKXZ J6 I.K +22 90
#note Haven't seen DIZ(EN) yet. Having all those power tiles is distracting.
>Nicholas_Watrous: AAAAAA -AAAAAA +0 105
>Winter: ?DIJSXZ E5 DIZ.. +30 120
#note Unbelievable that I draw two more power tiles.
>Nicholas_Watrous: ABFR 5J BARF +28 133
>Winter: ?EFJSUX 6D F.X +29 149
#note I am finally able to think in terms of setting up an ewentual bingo.
>Nicholas_Watrous: CMY H10 MYC +21 154
>Winter: ?AEEJSU 10A AJEE +38 187
#note Amazingly, if Nick has the tiles, we could end up even despite my onslaught of power tiles.
>Nicholas_Watrous: AINRTV A9 V.RIANT +33 187
#note TIE SCORE--INSANE!!!
>Winter: ?EENOSU 12C ENOUn.ES +68 255
#note If only I had found the plays off the T.
>Nicholas_Watrous: ABELRU 14A .EBULAR +22 209

#note Oh boy--this game could turn quickly.
>Nicholas_Watrous: DEMOS 15D MODES +47 256
#note Nuts.
>Winter: ARSTUUV -UUV +0 265
#note Getting a bad feeling about trying to play through this. Quackle hates the exchange.
>Nicholas_Watrous: OP J14 PO +20 276
>Winter: ALNORST 9L RATO +16 281
#note Kill the last line. Quackle hates it, of course.
>Nicholas_Watrous: ADEGG L9 .AGGED +18 294
>Winter: CHIILNS A7 IN....... +36 317
#note I'd been waiting for the IN the entire game, and with Nick's just having played five tiles, plus his comment about drawing the dreck that I through back, I figured he must have a U or V, and the odds of a bingo slim.
>Nicholas_Watrous: ?AEGSTU B1 GaTEAUS +70 364
#note Wow--all he needed was one break, and he got it.

>Winter: CDHILNS C2 HI +18 335
#note At this point I had him mistracked with TWO Us, no O, and I tried to find a winning sequence based on that, but of course all my efforts were in vain.
