>Alec_Sjoholm: ITVY 8G TIVY +20 20
>Joshua_Sokol: AEGJOTU J6 JA. +29 29
#note On today's episode of "your opponent always has an O", I should have known better than to try to set my own O up by retaining it and making my leave value a few points worse. JO(Y) sims 1 point higher than JAY.
>Alec_Sjoholm: HOPT K4 PHOT +29 49
#note why do I even try :(
>Joshua_Sokol: DEEGOTU L3 DEET +33 62
#note I was just trying to maximize my score here, like the division 2 player I still am. The G is such a bad tile, I need to get rid of it here. OGEED L5 is definitely correct. Tunnel vision.
>Alec_Sjoholm: LLQU H6 QU.LL +14 63
>Joshua_Sokol: AGNOOUX 10H .OX +26 88
#note I keep forgetting SQUILL is good too. I was trying to interfere with the S-hook here, but there are two. I should just play M1 AXON, and LUX is better than LOX.
>Alec_Sjoholm: CKLNOS 11C CLONKS +39 102
>Joshua_Sokol: AFGNOUU 11J UNAU +17 105
#note I missed D7 UNGU(L)A. The G is the worst tile, I need to see plays that get rid of it.
>Alec_Sjoholm: ?BEERRS 5B REBoRES +82 184
#note I held SQUILLS for a while. QUILLA* QUILLAI QUILLAIA SQUILL SQUILLA SQUILLAE
>Joshua_Sokol: EEFGORV L8 FOR.GE +28 133
#note Gotta start opening some parts of the board, I thought. But FOG or VEG or VOG at M2 might be just fine
>Alec_Sjoholm: BEY M7 BEY +29 213
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEHMSV 8L ..H +9 142
#note This was a desperation play. I wasn't that far behind that I needed to do this. But it hit bingos with a very large amount of the pool, so I decided to go for it. He's unlikely to have the last remaining S. Still, I should just play 4C HAM. It just scores so much better.
>Alec_Sjoholm: EINSZ O4 ZINES +102 315
#note And at this moment, I had never been more livid at a Scrabble tournament. I felt like I was just getting killed by the luck of the draw, but as history repeats itself, I am just not playing nearly well enough to even attempt to blame the tiles. ZEINS is obviously more constructive here, as it cannot be extended to the top triple.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEMOSV 14H VAMOSEd +95 237
>Alec_Sjoholm: CIIPR C9 PI.RIC +30 345
#note what a crazy word. How does Alec know such weird deep 6s? I had to challenge. I had never seen PICRIC. Nice play.
>Joshua_Sokol: ADDIORT - +0 237
>Alec_Sjoholm: EITT D8 TIT.E +22 367
>Joshua_Sokol: AIILNNW M2 LAWN +34 271
#note setting up a phony F-hook. FLAWN# FLAWN# FLAWN# when will that stick? Also lots of A's and D's left for DIA(ZINES). It's not over yet!
>Alec_Sjoholm: ADGO 4C DAGO +27 394
>Joshua_Sokol: DFGIINR 14B I.ING +24 295
>Alec_Sjoholm: NRTU A12 TURN +24 418
#note :(
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEFMOR 13I FAM.D +53 348
#note I really hope he doesn't have DIA(ZINES). It's better for me to block it with N2 OM I guess
>Alec_Sjoholm: AAAEIOW 3C OWE +31 449
>Joshua_Sokol: DEEIOR N1 ROD +17 365
#note ran out of time
>Alec_Sjoholm: AAAI 3L ...A +21 470
#note -5 go (R)AIA
>Joshua_Sokol: EEI 7M .E. +10 375
#note but I missed his out so AZINES was fine
>Alec_Sjoholm: AAI B5 .AIA +6 476
>Alec_Sjoholm: (EI) +4 480
