>Seth_Lipkin: DIV 8G VID +14 14
>Jim_Burlant: GLLOSWY 7H LOWLY +18 18
#note Yuck. Hate having to burn the ammunition on the first turn, which is why I didn't think of J4 plays burning the S. A sim indicates this is a very strong choice, but YOWLS may have been better.
>Seth_Lipkin: BTTU L3 BUTT. +20 34
>Jim_Burlant: GIMOOQS M2 QI +30 48
#note And the bane of my existence, the Q, strikes yet again. The duck's suggestion is counterintuitive. But it makes a lot of sense, and I wish I'd thought of it: GOMBO 3I. Now that GI is a word, GOMBI sets me up for a Q play on the next turn and doesn't potentially give back QI bonanzas the next turn. While the duck thinks this is only a 3-point dog and it only gives up 1.3% winning chances in a sim, this is a much bigger mistake than the duck says, even if I don't know what his next rack is.
>Seth_Lipkin: ITZ N1 TIZ +60 94
>Jim_Burlant: CGLMOOS G8 .LOG +9 57
#note I didn't like 6I GO and didn't know the best play, COMOUS, which scores 25 on row 4. What I didn't know was that Seth and I were about to make mistakes of equal magnitude.
>Seth_Lipkin: ESV O2 SEV +37 131
#note I don't recall what he told me his rack was post-mortem, but he told me after the game he whiffed on a 100+ point blank bingo down the triple line here. But I was about to return the favor:
>Jim_Burlant: ACIMORS F10 MACRO +30 87
#note I was stunned when SEV came down, blocking my planned ACROTISM. I alphagrammed this rack and came up empty, and during our post-mortem, neither of us had pulled up Zarf or Zyzzyva when I saw what I had missed: ORGASMIC would have scored 102. Nothing like coughing up 29% winning chances with a failure to recognize what should be an easy find.
>Seth_Lipkin: ?AALRST 15C ALASToR +81 212
>Jim_Burlant: ?EIINOS E5 IONISEd +85 172
#note Why did I not think of IONIsES for 2 more? Hanging in there by a thread at 17% to win.
>Seth_Lipkin: AINOPU 5H OPUN.IA +18 230
>Jim_Burlant: CDEFGHO D1 DEFOG +27 199
>Seth_Lipkin: DEKNU 1D .UNKED +36 266
>Jim_Burlant: CEEEHHR F4 HEH +34 233
#note Apparently, less is more here. I should keep the second H for CH synergy, according to the duck. The duck may be right. EH scores 4 less but wins 4% more often and sims 6 points higher. Then again, it wouldn't have mattered.
>Seth_Lipkin: AAEEINT 14H TAENIAE +71 337
>Jim_Burlant: ACEEMOR C2 REM +26 259
#note The really slick 13I CREAM is clearly best here, but for all intents and purposes this game is over. Even CREAM only wins 1.9%.
>Seth_Lipkin: EOR B2 ORE +23 360
>Jim_Burlant: AACEOPW 13M PAW +26 285
>Seth_Lipkin: BFIRU 8A BURF. +42 402
>Jim_Burlant: ACEENOY 14B AYE +19 304
>Seth_Lipkin: AEGIJRT 4F .AJ +38 440
>Jim_Burlant: CEEINOX 6N XI +50 354
>Seth_Lipkin: DGINRST 12H GRINDS +25 465
>Jim_Burlant: CEENO O6 .CON +18 372
>Seth_Lipkin: T 3A T... +7 472
>Seth_Lipkin: (EE) +4 476
