>Jim_Burlant: ?ADDNOR 8F ANDROiD +70 70
#note Don't know why I couldn't think of ADORNeD, which doesn't give back the S hook. What strikes me as odd is that Quackle thinks my choice is best. Maybe the I in 4th position down the K column instead of the E is worth giving up the S hook down the M column? <>
>Jeremy_Hall: IMO 7F MOI +16 16
>Jim_Burlant: AABEEIR L4 BEAR. +16 86
#note Lame.. AERIE 6F scores 23.
>Jeremy_Hall: OOR 6D ROO +12 28
>Jim_Burlant: AAEFIMN M3 FAME +28 114
#note At least I get this right. Scores well, shuts down the lines I opened up on the last turn, and leaves a workable AIN. I considered K5 FA but thought it a hair too fishy. A sim indicates it's either FAME or AMNIA 5D.
>Jeremy_Hall: GLN J7 L.NG +9 37
>Jim_Burlant: ABCGINP 5C BANC +30 144
#note Spent forever on this turn, as Jeremy really caught me with my pants down, so to speak. A sim confirms I don't have any good options to address those hooks on row 11 that he's opened up. I chose this because it outscored everything else I saw. The duck considers this a midpack option and feels that less is more: K3 BAG is the star play here. I'm still in excellent shape: just under 86% to win.
>Jeremy_Hall: FO K4 OF +31 68
>Jim_Burlant: CEGIIOP 11J EPIC +22 166
#note My first priority was addressing row 11, which limited me to this. A sim indicates that this is best, but it also has another very interesting set of choices: PIGGIE 10G and 10H both score 10...and both sim very closely to this choice. I'd still make this play again.
>Jeremy_Hall: EIIR M10 I.IER +14 82
>Jim_Burlant: AGIIOSU 14J GUI.O +20 186
#note Fortunately for me, Jeremy hasn't been able to capitalize on my subpar second and 4th turns. Given this rack, there's not much else for me to do. Next best choice, GIAOURS, wins 2% less often and sims 10 (!) points down on this. This is best. 91.5% to win.
>Jeremy_Hall: ESTV O12 VEST +40 122
>Jim_Burlant: AAIIKSW 15G KIWI +36 222
#note Can't tell if I have this rack written correctly. It was either AIIIKSW or AAIIKSW. Regardless of which one it was, the sim says more or less the same thing. Can someone explain why I should play WIKI instead of this? Quackle prefers it by the slimmest of margins. 92.4% to win regardless of which rack I had.
>Jeremy_Hall: AJT 4B TAJ +44 166
>Jim_Burlant: AAENSTY 3C NASTY +45 267
#note I looked for an AY/YA fish and thought that anything I saw (YA 6H, AY 3D) gave up way too much to the scoring plays. So, once I saw 45 points for this, I said to myself that was that. This is a very strong choice, but I missed a better play: NAY 3C, which I never saw, was the shortish play I was looking for: still scores 33, and leaves AEST instead of this. But this is still a good choice. NAY wins a sim (93.6% to win) and this wins 93.1 at a 4.4-point equity deficit.
>Jeremy_Hall: TX L10 T.X +40 206
>Jim_Burlant: ADDEEET 9E DEE +18 285
#note Ok, with 7 unseen E's, the pool was E-overloaded so this draw didn't surprise me. Not much else to do with this rack. 90.1% to win.
>Jeremy_Hall: LY 3M .LY +9 215
>Jim_Burlant: ADEEEET O2 E.E +7 292
#note I sure was surprised to see that I picked nothing but 3 E's (only 4 remained) on that last turn! And for the second time, I'm caught in an awkward situation. Obviously, the play is to dump two of the E's, and a sim makes clear that any of the top 8 choices (of which this is one) win within 1% of each other. Even at 1600 2-ply iterations, a sim cannot decide whether it likes N8 TEE, O1 DEY, or this best. 88.5% to win.
>Jeremy_Hall: INNORSU 12D RUNIONS +73 288
#note Arrrgh! It's GRUNIONS that's good. RUNIONS* is phony.
>Jim_Burlant: ?ADEELT 13A LATEnED +78 370
#note vALETED scores 79 and is slightly better for defensive purposes. That said, I'm 94% to win.
>Jeremy_Hall: HT G1 TH. +9 297
>Jim_Burlant: AAILRUZ 1G .ZAR +39 409
#note The main threat I had to block based on the unseen pool was QUOTE 1D. I saw no playable bingoes in the unseen pool so I deemed it safe to empty the bag.
>Jeremy_Hall: EGHPQSU B11 QU.G +28 325
>Jim_Burlant: AHILPSU 15A ASH +33 442
#note Missing the cool O2 EYELASH for 39.
>Jeremy_Hall: EOVW N7 WOVE +17 342
>Jeremy_Hall: (ILPU) +12 354
